A hidden gem in the heart of Wales. Providing a challenging but fair test of golf for all levels from beginner to accomplished golfer. Regarded by many as one of Wales' finest 9 hole courses. Brecon is a predominantly flat and easy walking course with excellent drainage and is therefore ideal for all levels of golfer young or old and all conditions.

Whilst still providing a stern challenge for the accomplished golfer. Golf at Brecon is as it should be, away from the hordes of society golfers which so many other clubs have. After a game you can enjoy the comforts and a warm welcome in the well-equipped clubhouse with a snack, a meal or just a drink.
Services
We do not ask for a handicap certificate or proof of membership of another club, however, would ask that all golfers understand the etiquette of the game and have regard for the enjoyment and safety of other players and staff. Golf clubs are available to loan for free and there are trolleys available free on a first come first served basis.
Dogleg left par 5 requiring an accurate drive to a narrow tree lined fairway. Bigger hitters will struggle to get to the green for two. Disrespect this par 5 at your peril. Approach shot will fire into the largest green on the course over 40yds long leaving some monster puts if you misjudge your approach.
Described by many as the best golf hole in Powys we'll let you decide. Split fairway and a tiny well protected green. Again playing into the prevailing wind a good drive is essential to scoring well. Trees protect both sides of the fairway and the river Usk will catch a big slice. The tiny green is nestled in a crater with bunkers front, left and right waiting to catch an errant shot.
Last hole and the longest par 4 on the course although the wind is generally slightly helping. A dogleg to the right with mature trees lining the fairway. Approach shots are to a well protected green with 4 bunkers just infront of the clubhouse. Keep your nerve whilst putting infront of the gallery on the patio.

Had a Father’s Day dinner at the restaurant here as a surprise by my wife and the food was delicious. There was a good menu and the ordered the Beef and was shocked by the amount of meat on the plate unlike other local places they give you a decent portion of meat with your veg. The desert was just as good with the warm apple pie and creamy ice cream. Would def recommend to anyone in the area as it is so easy to get to to.

Love this place, visited the 19th hole restaurant and bar. Excellent affordable food and drink and friendly patrons at the club. Would recommend a visit even if you're just passing through.

Lovely course. Fairly flat with a good mixture of challenges. Suits all abilities. And for £15 for 18 holes you cant complain. The dry weather has allowed the greens to be lightning quick which adds to the fun!!!!

Brecon Golf Club sits on the bank of the river Usk on the edge of the town. It is a 9 hole course suited to those who prefer a reasonable game on a relatively level course. There is a pleasant club house offering refreshments to suit all. Open to non members in a relaxed atmosphere. Oh and of course you have the Brecon Beacons to see and explore after your round of golf.

Great 9 hole golf club with good surroundings views. The course could be made better with the introduction of two tees to make the 9 holes different for front and back nine. There is a beautiful farm house in the centre of the golf club. Good parking with friendly and helpful staff
