Just had a weekend at akebar park, advise anyone not to stay on st Andrews pitch 16
as it had a public footpath right next to where you pitch your awning we had five groups of walkers come through one child walked into our awning, one group hit the mirror on the car and twice walkers tripped over the guide rope and pulled the pegs out. Won't rush back.

Used to be our favourite place and we actually looked at some statics to purchase whilst we where here. It was confirmed the park was slowly removing the tourers and this shows from the new layout - which is absolutely awful! If you are staying try and avoid the seasonals (I have to say not all but only a small handful) very clicky and snobby. We had our shampoo stolen from the toilets 😂

Everyone was so friendly one caravaner guided us to our spot which was appreciated. Children thoroughly enjoyed themselves plenty for them to do which was the main thing for us.

Great site due to location between York and Durham. Amenity block clean and good showers. Receptionist lovely. Cheap multiple use wi-fi £12.00 a week. The pub on site great food .
4 star because shop is tiny.-no papers for example. We were on a peaceful side but some people on another side played loud music and balled out loud till midnight despite the 22.30 rule . If there's no one to monitor or impose the rules at night what's the point ? Didn't see anyone round the site checking for rowdiness. This review was written on our 3rd night of 7 booked .

Loved the site, loved the location, only down side was the toilet and showers weren't open due to covid restrictions. Nice flat pitches and a good bar & restaurant on site.

Excellent Park, now with hard standing on every pitch. Has been changed around massively since our last visit, but still a great place to stay, with some of the best scenery and countryside England can offer.
