Hillcrest Park
Hillcrest Park is our rural 6-acre holiday park in Teesdale, nestled between the North Pennines AONB and the Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by farmland, we offer peace, tranquillity and beautiful views of Teesdale - yet we are only 10mins from the A66. We are ideal for walkers, cyclists, dog owners or anyone just looking for a relaxing, rural break.

Hillcrest is situated handily close to both Richmond and Barnard Castle, within easy reach of many Dales attractions, as well as the historic cities of Durham and York. Further afield, both the Lakes and Yorkshire coastline are all doable daytrips. We have holiday cottages, seasonal pitches, holiday lodges for sale as well as camping pods.
Services
We started with three cottages and a few touring pitches, but over time we have gradually expanded and we now have five holiday cottages, 20 touring pitches, 10 glamping pods, and now holiday lodges for sale. We are located right on the border of North Yorkshire and County Durham between Richmond and Barnard Castle in beautiful Teesdale, with the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) on our doorstep.
Buying a lodge really is an investment in your future and with staycations becomng much more desirable they are the perfect option for stress free holidays, with the added flexibility of a holiday whenever you want, as often as you want. Buying a lodge isn't just making a purchase, its an experience.
We have five self-catered cottages on our holiday park near Richmond, North Yorkshire, all offering comfortable accommodation with their own private outside space (some with an enclosed courtyard). In 2021 Hawthorn, Elder and Willow Cottages were completely refurbished wtih new kitchens and bathrooms, making them an even more comfortable, rural retreat.
Staying in a camping pod is very much a camping experience - only easier! Our pods are an empty, carpeted space, with a heater, light and electric, so remember to bring all your camping kit. Our main poddery is set aside for 'grown ups only', ensuring that, whether it is school holidays or not, you needn't worry about little ones (sorry little ones, but sometimes grown-ups need some 'me time').
The Hideaway is the eagerly awaited addition to our rural park in Teesdale which brings with it luxury, character and a unique way to spend time enjoying the company of your partner. Most of us have probably flirted with staycations over the past year and The Hideaway certainly sets the bar high. Our hope for the Hideaway is that it provides just that, and your stay is one which you will be talking about for some time to come.

Hillcrest Park was recommended by a family member & was just perfect for us! The cottage was great; very clean with all that we needed for our stay. Our 2 dogs loved exploring the area & with a private front garden it suited us very well. Kate & Ed were really helpful with the WiFi & our deliveries, thank you! We definitely recommend beautiful & well kept Hillcrest Park for a relaxing stay in the countryside.

I came this week Tuesday to Friday, just me and my dog. Kate and Ed are so lovely, very friendly and helpful with recommendations for the local area. The pod was just perfect, everything that you could want, and the heater was much appreciated in the evening after a lot of long wet walks! The location is so peaceful, you wouldn't think that it was just off the road. The facilities were faultless and I feel that Kate and Ed have done a superb job keeping everywhere clean and safe with covid. Thank you for everything, I would highly recommend anyone visit!

Great facilities with all different kinds of accommodation to cater for most needs. Dottie vintage snack caravan for breakfast at the weekends was excellent and saved us a load of hassle. We stayed in the pods which were very snug. Campers kitchen very well equipped and no charge for using kettle and hobs. Thanx

Fabulous place, it's a boon if you have dogs as there is a large area for them to run, play ball off lead. The facilities are lovely and clean, the owners are extremely pleasant and not the kind that just want to extract money from you with very little in turn. The pods are spot on, positioned brilliantly and beautifully clean, we'll worth the drive, we'll worth it in every sense.

Superb. Plain and simple.
We stayed 3 nights and were very impressed. We were met by Kate the owner who was
extremely pleasant and cheerful, over the time we stayed there she was also really helpful,
that ranged from offering us some of their own sun tan lotion, to booking us a table at the
local pub. You really could not of asked for a better host.
The pods are a great size and were immaculately clean. The space around them are well
maintained. The shower block is clean and the kitchen block is very well equipped, (if you
forgot all of your cooking equipment there is everything you need
