Glasgow Orthodontics
Glasgow Orthodontics is one of Scotland's leading specialist led orthodontic practices. We take a great deal of pride in our work in achieving the best we can for our patients in a comfortable and friendly environment. Our treatments include both NHS and private aesthetic braces. We look forward to meeting you.
Services
Glasgow Orthodontics is one of Scotland's most prestigious orthodontic practices. We have been in existence for over twenty years and have sought to distinguish ourselves from other orthodontic practices by providing a patient and family friendly practice where standards of patient care and good communication are paramount.
Orthodontic treatment is a way of straightening or moving teeth to improve the smile and the way they work. Orthodontic treatment can also improve the long-term health of the teeth, gums and jaw joints. There are also removable braces, functional braces (twin blocks) and clear removable aligners. Orthodontic treatment may involve extractions to create space if the teeth are crowded or if they stick out.
For patients under 19 years of age, many milder cases will not be eligible for NHS funding. In these cases, if treatment is desired, we offer a range of self-funded and private options for the consideration of young patients. Most adult patients are treated privately. There is a wide range of low-visibility brace options available under private care and more flexible appointment times.
Free NHS orthodontic treatment is available to everyone under the age of 19 provided they are in full time education but conditions apply. It is intended to provide treatment for those patients who need it on dental health grounds, for example such problems include protrusion of the teeth, severe mal-alignment or crowding of the teeth and congenitally missing teeth.
For children that do not qualify for NHS treatment, we are pleased to offer an Independent / Self-Funded option that closely resembles the NHS fee structure. Stainless steel braces are used. Your treatment will be during school hours and will be carried out by one of our expert Orthodontic Therapists closely supervised by a registered Orthodontic specialist.

Professional and friendly service. My daughter was made to feel very welcome at both of her appointments, meaning that there were no nervous feelings about attending! We were given a clear plan for her future treatment. Thank you very much Glasgow Orthodontics.

Absolutely Horrible Receptionist, she is So Rude and unpleasant person. 0 customer service. 0 communications skills.I’m wondering how they keep such people in the business. If you look at all other reviews you’ll figure it out what I mean. But the dentist was totally different and so friendly.

Very very rude staff, would not recommend for any private paying patient. You will need to wait months for any appointment because all the nhs patients have filled the spaces despite paying to get your teeth fixed and being told you will not need to wait months. It’s absolutely disgusting having to keep stuff in your mouth without a change for so long. Mine moved from originally being fixed which is surely an indicator of there work and had to fork out more to rectify them to these people despite getting the worst care.
It doesn’t seem to uncommon for this place and really wish I went elsewhere

RECEPTIONISTS are extremely rude. Judy definitely needs to improve with her respect and manners towards customers. As well at the other girls (don’t know their names). One of the ladies is okay but the rest of the girls attitudes are ridiculous. Absolutely not a friendly place, the girls at the desk make you feel completely uncomfortable with their rude looks, and tone. Many of my friends have also said that the girls seem to act as if they are above everyone by looking down on any person that walks in the door. Glasgow orthodontist would be a lovely place without the rude, unwelcoming girls

Fantastic practice ! Don’t know why some other reviews are being negative to reception staff I have had nothing but fantastic and friendly service from them. They are all kind and helpful. Don’t let the reviews shape your judgments.

Utterly rude receptionists and shocking policies. My 16 year old brother travelled over half an hour by bus for his appointment, whilst enroute his bus was delayed as a brick was thrown through the window and hit him. Called the practice to advise he was running a little late only to be told if he was any more than three minutes late he would not been seen! Apparently emergencies don't exist along with a little empathy. Kirsty and Christie on the desk are highly unprofessional and then proceeded to mock and belittle my brother when he turned up five minutes late.

Horrible receptionists my daughter is petrified to ring for an appointment. My daughter has been going there for over 5 years, her retainer keeps breaking dispite adhering to the eating guidelines. She doesn't eat gum, or chewy sweets. Every time she has attended for repair there has been a charge, surely like every other NHS service you attend, if they do poor work why should you have to pay for it, if you had an operation and the wound opened are you charged to have it stitched back up, no. It's a loop hole that should be looked into. My daughters teeth are all moving leaving big gaps, so why

Lovely orthodontic staff and good results so far. But the place is definitely a money making machine as the patients are squeezed in to an open plan area and you are in and out very quickly. The nurses that treat me are often gossiping about other staff whilst I’m lying back being tightening up as if I can’t hear them - not a problem for me just quite funny. Great treatment but if you want some privacy I would enquire elsewhere.

Been attending for 2 years always kept waiting for ages it's like a cattle market one in one out very impersonal. My son lost his top retainer told they can't continue treatment until we pay £50. We can not afford this. Never broke or lost anything before or missed any appointments. 2 years of pointless treatment as as told his teeth will move back. Just shows they are all about the money and not the care of the child. Don't go here!!!!

I cannot recommend Simon Miller and his team at Glasgow Orthodontics highly enough. I attended the clinic as an adult patient with the initial belief that I was 'too old' for braces. But Simon guided me through the whole process with expert professionalism and has always been there whenever I've had any issues with my post-treatment retainer. Oh and yes I LOVE my straight teeth! First-class professional operator in an excellent clinic. Thanks!
