The walls shimmer in burnished copper, with scarlet floral motifs, a modern interpretation of tweed is re-enacted on a red Axminster Carpet, and the lighting brings together brass Victoriana with enamelled cubism. All the staff are both helpful and friendly, providing perfect service. The public areas are welcoming and provide discreet spaces for privacy despite the hotel being busy. We stayed here for two nights and I definitely regret not staying here longer as the hotel was fantastic and Isle of Sky was gorgeous. The staff at the hotel (Anna at front desk, and Ross at the bar) were amazing and alone would earn the hotel a 5 star review. Rooms were perfectly clean and well sized. The unlimited breakfast was reasonably priced for any and all food you could ask for (the porridge needs seasoning and would benefit greatly from fresh fruit, nuts, or any thing as it is otherwise bland and boring). The view from the dining area is fantastic and the outdoor area with chairs is great

Gorgeous hotel, lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Beautiful, cosy bar area. Convenient online ordering system. Evening food was excellent, the only improvement could be a wider menu choice. Breakfast was good, again, an option of French toast or pancakes - something other than a cooked or continental breakfast would be my only suggestion. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff.

If you can stay anywhere on Skye you should stay here. This was our second stay at this hotel and both times were excellent. The staff, especially reception, are brilliant. The views for breakfast and dinner are stunning. As a central location for the Island everywhere is about a 40 minute drive.
If you want to really go for it, get one of the rooms with a view of the bay, breakfast in your room and the day is set.

We stayed for 3 nights & loved every minute from start to finish. Easy check in & very friendly staff. Room was spotless clean and very nicely furnished with a stunning view over the town.
Breakfast & dinner was delicious. Honestly could not fault a thing & would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Gorgeous property with MAJESTIC views in Portree, Isle of Skye. The restaurant on premise is 5 star-- everything was fresh, perfectly prepared. Be sure to make reservations way in advance. Great stay at Cuillin Hills Hotel. Receptionist was extremely helpful, friendly & courteous. Beautiful location with fantastic views, and just far away from town. Restaurant staff professional yet friendly and always available to assist. Food excellent, both dinner and breakfast. I truly wanted to lick my plate it was that good! Room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. My only negative comment would be, no elevator. Would definitely return.
