Cuffley School is a foundation, two-form entry primary and nursery school with approximately 450 pupils on roll. We have a warm and friendly ethos, where every child really does matter. Learning to learn is at the heart of what we do as we prepare our children to become independent lifelong learners.
Our children are eager to come to school and enjoy a wide range of opportunities. The extensive site includes fifteen classrooms, well stocked school libraries and resource areas, two large halls, two dining areas, a nurture base (The Oasis) and two music pods. Excellent playing fields and playgrounds are adjacent to the school buildings.

Services
At Cuffley, we are committed to our 'Learning to Learn' agenda. We believe that instilling a love of learning in children will provide them with the skills they need for the future. Along with this philosophy, we seek to provide an encouraging and nurturing environment, where each child is supported to make the most of their individual strengths and to reach their full potential.
At Cuffley we manage our own catering in-house and we provide healthy and balanced lunches to well over half of our children. When menus are reviewed, children's views are sought and we listen to their suggestions. Every day, in addition to the hot meal choices, we offer a salad bar, bread, a jacket potato bar and a choice of fruit.
All schools are required to have a clear set of policies and procedures. Policies are key tools for governing bodies to use in carrying out their responsibility for setting the strategic direction of the school. Policies provide the framework for the way in which the school should be run. Some are required in order to comply with government legislation, such as Health and Safety, and others govern internal management of the school.

We do this through a wide range of curricular activities which embrace, enhance and extend these aims within an innovative and creative curriculum focussing on 'learning to learn'. In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) we follow the statutory Early Years Curriculum.
We place a great emphasis on learning through play and children are given lots of opportunities to explore their interests and extend their learning through high quality provision. In Key Stages 1 and 2 (Years 1 to 6) the curriculum is governed by the National Curriculum.
