Litegait walking therapy offers the opportunity to stand and walk again safely to many people who might otherwise be confined to a wheelchair or their home. FES or Functional electrical stimulation is a method of activating muscles affected by a central nervous system disorder such as stroke or brain injury. The device stimulates the peripheral nerves to get a contraction and assist with functional movement such as walking or reaching/grasping. The most common use of FES is to correct a drop foot; the inability to lift the toes when walking.

The improvement in my balance after my physio sessions with Jenny was well beyond my expectations. The way she evaluated my needs and then gave me a tailored exercise programme, which she modified as my condition improved, was excellent. I couldn't speak any highly of her and the team and would recommend Sense Ability Therapy without hesitation to anyone.

Jenny's diagnostic session and the exercise regime that she created for me went beyond anything that I have experienced from the neuro-physiotherapists that I previously consulted. I practice this regime daily and I honestly believe that Jenny has helped me to take control of my life and hold back the progression of my condition. Thank you Jenny and to all of the team at Sense Ability.

I really love this class and look forward to our sessions. It is always a varied lesson every week and a very friendly class. Jenny is very knowledgeable about everyone's condition and for this reason nobody does more than their limitations. Would highly recommend Sense Ability Therapy to anyone, and especially if you have any back or joint problems.
