Wouldn’t recommend, poor communication and experienced rudeness from staff.

Went to look at this place as a prospective wedding venue and stayed to have a meal today. We all ordered and was surprised to find that when you order a £14.00 Hake and mash you have to order veg separately for and extra £3 . Which made the meal quite expensive for the small portion size you received. Overall the food was good but the portion size was small. The flavour was nice of the meals. There was a wedding ceremony on there and the log fires were burning so the atmosphere was nice and toasty.
We did pay a deposit for a date next year.
The venue is nice but hard to get to and no street

Overall, the inn hotel was lovely. Nice, quiet location and some nice, pub food downstairs. Plus, a fairly spacious room too in comparison to your standard hotels!
I don't want to be too harsh with the rest of my review as it could have been just a one off or just our room (we're stayed in their premium Riviera room) as other reviews seem to indicate that people really loved it.
In my opinion, a few bits and bobs could definitely be improved upon: our room was not super clean (the bed cover had a big stain on it - if it's not something that can be removed, just throw it away or replace it), the

Bickley is a beautiful place and we celebrated our magical day there. We have eaten there many times and have enjoyed ever bit of food consumed there. The only things they have to let them down is the orginastional skills from the team there.
We move our wedding twice because of covid and paid our bill before the original date. I also paid for 3 rooms so I could spend the night before my wedding there. When we secure the final date and signed the new contract I was under the impression I still had my rooms especially as they were fully paid for. Well no this was not the case it took me to email

Beautiful venue but we only popped in for a drink. It was a little hard to find as the sign in Kingskerswell didn't say it 2.5 miles away and of course being new to the area it was up several lanes. It didn't disappoint though as the surroundings are lovely. Ample parking and a cosy restaurant. Staff were pleasant and available to serve us even with a busy wedding function. We will go back again. Maybe book for Sunday roast. We did return but thought we would try an evening meal first. It wasn't good. Not one thing tasted freshly prepared. My husband pie was white pastry and hardly any filling

Superb customer service here, we were made to feel very welcome on a recent visit attending a wedding. We had some lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food - my husband raved about the chips! I was impressed with the dressing of the ceremony room - think cosy rustic barn -and there was a substantial decking area, with some shelter just outside which was perfect for guest drinks before the main meal. All in all a well run venue in a lovely spot. Fully recommend!

Nice menu with good quality food all round. Brilliant service - our waitress remembered everyone's order and didn't need to ask as the food arrived - that's really unusual in the UK!! Would definitely return...

Visited here a few days ago when my wife was performing as a wedding musician.
Before the event we enjoyed some food and drinks in the bar, everything was perfect and prices were very reasonable.
All staff were very friendly and professional, could not fault them. Highly recommend their chips! So crispy and fluffy!
We will definitely be back! 😁

"A-OK" just about sums this place up perfectly. The decor is very well done for a gastropub and gives a very elegant vibe. The service and food quality, however, fell very short.

I visited on a business dinner. The local beer at the bar was nice, but my experience went downhill from there. I ordered the cured meat board as an appetizer and the sirloin steak with chips for dinner. The board was decent, but I"m not (apparently as I learned at this time) a huge fan of cured meats. The bread, however, was delicious.

My main problem came with my main course. I ordered the sirloin

We looked at other reviews which recommended this place. My wife chose King Prawns as a starter, but these were clearly not king prawns. I wasn't allowed to complain, as she didn't want any fuss, but these were £7, and not as billed. My smoked salmon was nothing special, and I doubt its locally smoked origin. My haddock was fine. The children enjoyed their fish. I was not impressed when the kids asked for ketchup, and was presented with a bottle of Heinz tomato sauce. Even a Harvester present it in a cup, with a spoon. My wife had the pork fillet, but again it wasn't special, and

Very upmarket expensive restaurant just out of town, just had a lovely charity evening where a lot of money was raised for cancer research. Lovely modern eatery and although it is situated out of town it does bring in a lot of people. Bickley mill also has a small but luxurious hotel that is mainly used for events such as weddings. Modern building and fancy food

Bickley Mill Inn is heavily bedded within the region of Ipplepen and Abbotskerswell, the restaurant is worth the trip if your in the local area, prices can be expensive and you leave with a feeling of not being very fulfilled but i would still recommend this to a passer by.
