The two beautiful lounges are perfect for a game of afternoon chess and a cream tea (there are three to choose from) or book some pre-dinner spa time either in the pool or with one of the therapists. The panoramic setting is engaging so bring your boots. Impressive Dartmoor National Park is literally on the doorstep and the hotels own ten acres home to a flock of friendly chickens are yours to enjoy.
Services
Every bedroom is individual, all are comfortable and homely finished in what is best described as a country style. A rolling renovation progression means the introduction of extra little touches like tropical showers into some of the more deluxe rooms. All are ensuite with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary homemade flapjack, 32-inch flat screen televisions and designer toiletries.
In order to facilitate distancing and to concentrate service in one area, breakfast and dinner will be served exclusively in the main Restaurant. Dinner, served 6pm to 9pm, will take the form of an a la carte menu with a range of both bar food and restaurant style dishes to suit most tastes. This will be served in the main Restaurant and adjoining Hound Tor Suite only.
With beautifully tiled floors, well appointed changing rooms and the latest facilities, the Spa at Ilsington offers an exclusive corner of peace and tranquillity with a hint of Tibetan Influence. Relax in the hydrotherapy pool and let the soothing bubbles envelop you and then take a seat in the sauna or steam room and surround yourself by the comforting aromas and sounds accompanied with mood lighting.
We will contact you as soon as possible. Situated within the Dartmoor National Park Ilsington is 4 miles from the A38, which is a continuation of the M5. Shortly after Exeter the road divides, take the right hand fork in the direction of Plymouth and after about twelve miles take the exit indicating Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampsted.

The staff here truly make the place. Spending three or more days the menu becomes a little same same, they went above and beyond to create new plates for our stay. The breakfast is the full works although with beans not on the menu, they are still able to provide.
The pool all be it is very shallow, around 1m at any point. Nice steam and sauna rooms and hydrotherapy pool. Rooms do feel slightly dated, yet all in very good condition, all be it for the odd cobweb super tidy. Can just about see hay Torr from the dinning room between the winter storms.
Staff all staying very covid conscious.

Lovely spa with added benefit of a fitness suite although this is slightly out-dated. Food was decadent and tasted lovely without compromising on portion size. Great value for money, with friendly and attentive staff

Exceptional service and atmosphere once again from this lovely hotel.
We stopped in for a few days and despite the constraints that Covid have imposed the staff were friendly, personable and chatty.
The food was superb as always and the pool clean and quiet.
We always enjoy our stays here and look forward to coming back again soon.

Went as guests for the first time. Very good Sunday roast, adequate but not overfilling. Could possibly have more than a choice of 2 meats. 3 courses for £27. Would recommend to others, but need to book. Need a map to find on first visit.

What an experience! Not enough superlatives to express our Spa weekend. From start to finish it was out of this world. Our intro was Sheila at Reception. Brilliant member of staff. Friendly, funny (especially her Benny Hill walk to the Spa!🤣) and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Sheila.
Kim(?) was my masseuse and again, brilliant! Knocked 10yrs off my physical wellbeing.
The food is fantastic and the facilities are second to none!
Very highly recommended! Well worth every penny! You won't regret your visit!

We had a lovely Spa and lunch experience! The beauty therapist was very good indeed and the food and bar and waiting staff helpful and efficient. Our lunches were first class. I think the ladies changing rooms are rather cramped there definitely wasn't really enough space or facilities for the amount of people in there today, but that's a small thing and we were there on a bank holiday so probably much busier than usual
