Meikleour Arms is a unique boutique hotel and pub in Perthshire, at the heart of the conservation village of Meikleour, internationally renowned for its spectacular trees and great salmon fishing while only a short distance away from Perth, Scone Palace and Dunkeld.

Built in 1820, it is owned and run by Meikleour Estate, one of the oldest historical estates in East Scotland. The 11 spacious bedrooms and 5 stylish hotel cottages are ideal whether you are looking for a relaxing family holiday, an escape to the country or a sporting trip. The award-winning restaurant is proud of its Franco-Scottish heritage and serves superb country food incorporating produce from the estate and the neighbouring lands.
Services
Meikleour Estate, established in the 12th century, is a dynamic diversified family business which has been supporting its local community for generations. From luxury cottages to state of the art farming, from office rental to award winning restaurant, from salmon fishing to biomass supplier, we are proud to be an enterprising place to work as well as an idyllic holiday destination in Scotland.
Our 11 bedroom exude comfort and elegant simplicity: superb mattresses, lovely crisp linen and beautiful marble bathrooms. Of course they also have flat-csreen TVs, luxurious hypoallergenic bedding, Arran Aromatics toiletries, stylish tea & coffee facilities and the unmistakable sherry decanter. All our bedrooms were individually decorated by us, pairing old treasure and new find, so that you feel part of the estate throughout your stay.
Restaurant booking with contact details still mandatory, social distancing and table service only still in place. Thank you for your understanding. We serve food all day but reservation mandatory. Maximum table of 10, 4 households. As we are operating with half of our tables (to allow aeound 2m between tables) we have sitting times in the evening with 2 hour slot: 6pm, 6:15pm, 6:30pm, 8pm, 8:15pm, 8:30pm.
The Meikleour Arms, once known as the Meikleour Hotel Fishing Lodge, has been caring for anglers in some way or another for nearly 200 years. We are conveniently close to the lower and Middle Tay beats and it is on our estate that the river Isla joins the Tay on what is recognised as being some of the finest Spring salmon fishing in the UK, Islamouth.
If you are a keen golfer, then you are just at the right place! Meikleour Arms is just 30 miles from Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie as well as being on the door step of the highly regarded Blairgowrie Golf Course. Indeed the main course was named after our owner's grandfather, Lord Lansdowne.

Very smart and spacious room. The shower was excellent, really powerful. Bed was big and comfortable. Good breakfast too. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was very good indeed with many of the ingredients from the estate. We will be back next time we are in the area as it is one of the best places we have stayed and we felt it was well priced for the quality.

We stayed in the newly appointed very well equipped stable's apartments which were a 12 minute walk to the meikleour arm's.
The food was great and staff were very attentive we would recommend this to all our family and we will be back

My wife and I visited for lunch stop while on a road trip. We took a seat in the pub and ordered a couple of ales. They had a decent selection of whiskies so I ordered a premium Scotch whisky. Afterward, we had a nice lunch. Everything was very pleasant until I got the check. There was an additional premium whisky added onto the check. I know that errors can happen but we were the only people in the pub. It didn't sit well with me.

When I pointed out the extra charge, it was removed but it just didn't feel right to me.

Just a wee update - the hotel is having a refurbishment and is already looking very smart indeed. We stayed for a couple of nights in one of the new rooms (the 'super-king superior') - actually, we were the first guests in there - and really enjoyed the 'new look' of the place, even though there is still building work going on.

The bar-restaurant area has been completely redesigned with more seating space and a larger bar with separate eating area behind. The decor is very 'country estate' with flagstone floors and rustic wallpaper. They've hung a selection
