Services
Dealing with family issues that include children is always a very difficult for everyone involved. We have extensive experience over many years and can advise you on the legal process and the approach of the Court. We are also members of Resolution, the national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems.
We aim to make the process as smooth as possible. We have considerable experience in helping you come to terms with separation or divorce and in resolving financial issues and disputes over children. We will guide you through the separation process, advising you on your options and arrangements, or represent you through the divorce procedure.
Disputes involving children need to be handled with the greatest understanding and flexibility. We aim to help you to resolve these difficult problems, and ensure clients understand their options throughout the process. We have particular expertise on care and can assist local authorities, children and parents in these matters.
If you are not married you may still have to deal with financial issues after your separation because, for example, property which you own jointly with your partner. If you and your partner are not able to decide what is to happen to any joint property then you can ask the court to decide.

You might wish to argue that you should receive more of the sale proceeds because you paid the deposit or made a greater contribution to the purchase price, or paid part or the entire mortgage. It is important to keep details of any payments you make as you will need to prove you have made these in order to establish your interest in the property.
Dissolving a Civil Partnership bears exactly the same potential trauma and difficulties as that of divorce and separation. The grounds for ending a civil partnership echo those of divorce and where children, property, wealth and the longevity of the relationship are present, complications invariably arise.
