When advising in relation to any family law matter, we understand that you will want straightforward, clear and honest advice about the best way to achieve your goal.
This will be particularly so when your family is facing uncertain changes, whether through divorce or separation. It can be debilitating, often leaving you with feelings of insecurity, fear, depression, guilt, anxiety, confusion, anger, or exhaustion.

Services
Simply, we are Victoria Oerton and Graham Simm. Victoria qualified in 2008 and Graham in 1988, so together we have over 46 years experience in Family Law. We worked together in Exeter for 5 years before deciding to set up in private practice here in Taunton in 2013. We work as a team so that we combine our collective experience and views in order to find the best solution for you.
On the breakdown of a relationship issues such as where a child is to live, and when a child is to see the non-resident parent are commonly agreed between parents, but not always. Education, going abroad, introduction to the "new partner", moving to another part of the country, or moving broad are all issues that fall to be dealt with through the family court system.
Please find below some articles on the issues of financial considerations that may arise on separation or divorce, or on entering into a living together arrangement which you wish to regularise through written agreement. They are an overview only, and they are no substitute for taking specialist advice in this complex area of law.
People are often scared of lawyers fees, so we felt it only fair to set out not only our charging structure but also how we will bill you. It is our experience that often such information is not easily available from law firms' websites. We know that instructing a solicitor can seem daunting particularly within the sensitive area of Family Law.
