Services
Set in its own grounds overlooking Lake Burwain, the nursery is situated in a spacious, purpose built single storey building. We offer a very high standard of care at Lakeview for children from three months to school age. The well equipped rooms within the nursery provide a wide range of "learning through play" experiences for babies, toddlers and pre-school children.
We provide a homely, relaxed and welcoming environment for children 3 months to 12 months. A place where babies can form close attachments with their key workers to build up their confidence and emotional development. These areas are changed accordingly to suit children's ages and stages of development and to enhance planning and also children' interests and home links.
We are located overlooking lake Burwain in the heart of Foulridge. Our setting overlooks the stunning countryside of Foulridge with views of fields, trees and much loved wildlife. Each age group has access to the outdoors from their room using same level flooring and patio doors, this ensures children at all ages and stages of development can access these facilities.
Janette visits us on a weekly basis throughout term time delivering sessions for all of our age groups. These sessions take the children and staff on fantasy journeys throughout the year incorporating the children's favourite music, movement and sensory exploration. Toddle up and sign is our signing class for the Ducklings and Ducks children every Tuesday afternoon.
Here at Lakeview we enjoy going on a variety of outings. Children will regularly go on short walks in the community, to the shops in Foulridge, the local park or to feed the Ducks at the canal. We sometimes go to the caf to enjoy our snacks too. Sometimes we will catch the bus to Sainsburys and do some shopping.

I’m so happy with my decision to send my little boy here. They staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the environment is perfect and I have absolutely no doubt that he enjoys his days at Lakeview! It’s been amazing for me as a parent to know I don’t have to worry about him feeling happy and safe whilst I am working. I couldn’t ask for anymore :) thank you to all the staff!

Lakeview is a lovely Nursery where all of the staff show a high level of care for the children as well as providing lots of learning opportunities. Communication between staff and parents is fantastic and all staff are friendly and very approachable. The Parent Zone app is great as there are always lots of lovely photos to see through the day to… show what our little ones have been doing (which is a great comfort). The new refurbishments to the Nursery are brilliant and in particular, the Pre-School building which really ensures that the children are able to transition to School with ease

My son attended Lakeview nursery from being 9 months old until he started school. He absolutely loved it, the staff are so nurturing and kind. There wasn’t a day he didn’t want to go, he was always having lots of fun when I picked him up every day that he didn’t want to leave. This is a very special nursery, I cannot recommend it enough.

Since the first time we visited, we knew this nursery was “the one” for us. The setting is just lovely and having a little one who loves the outdoors, it’s the perfect place for her with so much to explore. The “teachers” are all lovely and nothing is ever too much for them! We’re excited for our little one to spend her last year in the newly renovated Pre School, which is just amazing!

Our son Sebastian has been going to Lakeview Nursery from 8 months old. Settling in was a breeze! He has developed so much in the past few years. The facilities are excellent, each room has its own outdoor… space. Management and staff are fantastic!
Lakeview ParentZone App is a great way to see what your child is getting up to during the day, excellent way to view your child’s activities/skills/meals and much more.

We used Lakeview for our 2 older girls, who loved it , so naturally for our 3rd we chose Lake view. The setting is fantastic, the staff are all wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Scarlet absolutely loves going. The bond between scarlet and her keyworkers is amazing. The daily up dates we get via the app is brilliant.

As parents it’s always our first priority to give them the best start in everything they do. Anyone worried about dietary requirements then Elaine is the best! All the staff are professional and treat every child as an individual. Nothing is too much trouble. The owners are hands on and often seen supporting the setting whether that be the new… build down to the responsibility of their setting. Management are keen to welcome you and strive in giving the best care and service to you and your child. The girls are there because they have what it takes to give your child the very best

All of my children have gone to Lakeview and have had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ladies there are all kind and nurturing and staff turnover is really low so there is real consistency for children and parents alike. There are so many learning opportunities and the child’s individual likes and preferences are taken into account with activities. I would 100% recommend.
