The Coddy Shack is whatever you want it to be. That could be a quick stop-off for fish and chips after a day on the beach, or sharing seafood with friends in our restaurant. Add to this a well-stocked bar and live music nights, and you can see how we cater for everyone (dogs included). We're the only fully licensed fish and chip restaurant and take-away in Looe.

The Coddy Shack is in the pretty countryside just outside town, and we're lucky to have a large car park for our customers. It started back in '66, when Colin's parents bought a chip shop in Looe. From those early years to The Coddy Shack's launch in 2010, Colin's never lost his love for the fryer.

Last Saturday I had the most amazing fish and chips takeaway. I had the haddock and large chips and could not fault it. The chips are just on point, fish is lovely and fresh too. The service was brilliant, lovely and smiley staff. I will be coming back and sitting in next time!

It's amazing. Me and parents stopped off to get some fish and chips before continuing to Looe. But the food was amazing! The fish was soft, the batter was not greasy at all. My dad went inside and he said it looks amazing. There is a restaurant inside and a bar. You can go inside and have a meal and go to the bar for drinks.

We visited here on recommendation and having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming to us and our dog. The menu is quite extensive which was surprising and would suit all tastes. I opted for Cod & Chips and my partner, the Mussles. Our food came out looking, and tasting, amazing and they even provided a sausage for our dog. Although the restaurant was almost empty due to being November, it had its own atmosphere however I can imagine its immensely busy in the summer months. Takeaway cod, scampi and chips was lovely. The queues are quite long at peak times, so expect to wait but it's cooked fresh and a really good bit of fish and chips.

OUR PERFECT LITTLE RUSTIC WEDDING
We had our wedding reception at the Coddy Shack last month, while on our family holiday. This wasn’t our original plan we had a couple of postponements last year due to covid, and now believe everything happens for a reason. Although last years wedding was postponed we still had the holiday in Looe and actually came to coddy shack twice in one week and fell in love with the quirky venue and the amazing Fish & Chips!
