Welcome to Wild Hearth Bakery at the foot of the Scottish Highlands. We do home deliveries to much of the central belt of Scotland, we sell at farmers' markets, and we supply wholesale to shops, restaurants, cafes and caterers. In response to the difficult times our community is facing, we have launched a home delivery service to locations within the central belt of Scotland.
Please note that it may be easier for you to receive a delivery to your local Wild Hearth Bakery co-operative. The minimum order value is 20 and payment is taken at the point of order. You will recieve an invoice by email when your order is dispatched. If we are unable to deliver to your location we will contact you and your payment will be refunded.

Services
We are a wood-fired artisan bakery on the edge of the Scottish Highlands dedicated to the world of natural sourdough. Our reconditioned World War Two Nissen hut houses a state-of-the-art oven, fired exclusively with waste wood from timber milling. Our breads and pastries are slowly and carefully created by hand from organic flours and wild "starters" for the optimum depth of flavour, balance and lightness.
It may come as a surprise that sourdough is a process, not a specific product. We make everything from a feather-light croissant to 100 percent wholemeal rye bread using sourdough. Essentially, it's about nurturing a wild culture to produce products of exceptional flavour, digestibility and keeping quality.
After years of making our own bread for our guests, trusting someone else to make bread for the restaurant was a momentous shift in policy. I require outstanding quality, a perfect crust, an even internal texture, aerated structure and, of course, the unmistakable sourdough flavour. Wild Hearth Bakery was the only choice I needed to consider.
Our sourdough baps are cut rather than rounded and grow together as they rise. The result is a square bap/roll, which was traditional particularly in Glasgow, though we stop short of the traditional black top crust! A nutty, moist and tender wholemeal loaf that is not afraid to admit it, made entirely from organic wheat grown and stone-milled in Yorkshire.
Made with cultured butter from Scotland's own Edinburgh Butter Company, our croissant are light and full of delicious buttery flavour. A truly indulgent almond croissant with a plump log of house made marzipan flavoured with orange zest, with toasted flaked almonds and dusted with icing sugar. Whatever the time of year we source amazing fruit and combine it with a delicious pastry cream and a streusel crumble to create the ultimate fruit Danish.

I seldom do reviews ..as in the Lord's prayer " give us this day our daily bread" well this must be what the Messiah was talking about, he must at some point. Popped into to Creiff.
The Bread which was served to me whilst at Gleneagles hotel ,was beyond words ....Forget Brexit this is more important.....the finest quality I have ever tasted ..and I'm from an Italian background this is on a par with Pinsa ,Focaccia, yes it is sourdough and has such an amazing taste ...in fact the bread was better than the meal itself..... regards Kieran.
