English and Continental Antiques is a long established family business situated in the centre of the pretty North Suffolk market town of Eye, which is blessed with historic buildings, cafes and art galleries. The showrooms are located opposite the Town Hall with parking right outside and we are currently open by appointment so please call before making a journey.
The business specialises in antique furniture, art and porcelain, in fact everything for the interior or exterior. There are also a range of ancillary services on offer, which include restoration, re-upholstery, interior design and furniture logistics. Owner Steven Harmer has a love of early period oak furniture but deals across the board including Georgian mahogany and walnut, even modern designer pieces, quality being the only pre-requisite.

Services
Customers are welcome to visit the in-house Interior Design Studio or we can arrange a home visit. We believe an interior design service should be centred on the customer, working with them to get the most out of their home and living space. We have a huge range of fabrics and furniture available from top suppliers, whilst working with experts to bring the vision to life.
From fitted units to individual freestanding pieces we offer a "bespoke" hand made service, utilising a cottage industry of local craftsmen. The pieces can be finished in a number of options from natural wood, polished or painted, in a variety of timber choices. This may be an option where access to staircases is limited to upper floors or for alcoves or where floor levels are uneven.
