E. W. Cousins Antiques was established in 1920. A family run business with over 90 years experience in the industry, becoming one of the most highly respected members of the antique association. The founder of the business was Edward Cousins who passed on his extensive knowledge of the antique trade to his Grandsons John and Robert who now run the firm.

If you are looking for an item of period furniture be it for television, motion picture productions, commercial photography, a window display or event, we are able to offer our products on a rental basis for various lengths of time. Fees are based on a percentage of the retail price. At E.W. Cousins we are able to arrange all your upholstery needs with our preferred upholsterer, whose level of expertise and craftsmanship is second to none.
E.W. Cousins is extremely proud to offer furniture restoration services by its in-house team of experienced professionals. Using traditional hand methods and techniques we are able to deliver unique and bespoke services specializing in French polishing, antique restoration and repair.
Our Antique restoration specialist is able to help restore an item to its original use whilst keeping its natural patina, using quality materials so the end result has the same original, unique, look and feel.The extensive knowledge and experience of our professionals reflects in the skills used to enable us to offer the exceptionally high standards we are well renowned for within the trade.

Restoration of a much loved , circa 1850, fruitwood dining room sideboard.
Thank you so much for bringing my great-grand-father's piece back to life ! It looks, i know instinctively, like when the talented joiner/menuisier created it for him after an order.
