Andrew Carpenter started his company Andrew St. John Discotheques over 40 years ago. His sons, Tom Carpenter and James Carpenter, grew up surrounded by music and developed the same passion for music and entertaining as their father.
Tom has now taken the helm and together with his father and brother have formed Carpe Diem Entertainments. When Tom was diagnosed with tourettes in 2007 it gave him the impetus to choose singing as a career. Only 12 months later he headlined his own concert at the Frome Memorial Theatre, in aid of Tourettes Action, and after taking part in a talent competition on board the P & O Cruise Ship MV Ventura later that year, was asked to headline his own concert on board.
When Center Parcs opened at Longleat in 1994 Andrew moved there as resident DJ and compere until 2006 when Andrew went full circle to once again carry out mobile discos at Orchardleigh House in Frome, Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath and The Mill @ Rode along with many other venues.
It was during his time at Center Parcs that the name Andrew St. John changed from being one used by Andrew himself to a brand of mobile discotheques that represents professionalism, personality and customer focus.

James first met Chris in 2007. Ever since their first gig together, he has always been the "go-to-guy" for Chris' special events. This year James will be DJ'ing the Monaco Grand Prix weekend aboard 'The Snapper' in the south of France. Other high profile clients over the years include: Richard Branson, Paul Hollywood, Top Gear Live, The Good Food Show and Slimming World.

He listened to exactly what we wanted and played music to keep all ages entertained. Tom is very friendly and lovely to chat to! you end up feeling like you have known him for ages.

Wow what an amazing company. We hired Tom to be our DJ for our wedding 2/10/21. He’s been a friend for quite some time. He has always made sure we are happy with everything especially through covid and having to move the wedding.
Well when it came to the entertainment it was amazing more than I can put into words. I didn’t know what kind of songs to choose so have him a few ideas and he did the rest, and Oh My Gosh it was perfect, some cheesy dance floor fillers, slow dancesongs etc and amazing mix along with requests. Then I had asked him to Sing as well, a great mix again of covers

On 31/7/2021 after a long anticipated wait due to covid we had our wedding of which Tom and the team were amazing at supporting us with all the way. We had to change our date 3 times and each time Tom changed this for us with no hassle at all, it really did mean the world to us. Once we finally got to the day, James who was the DJ on the night and his wife who operated the photo booth both went above and beyond to give us the most superb night! The guests, like us loved the music and had the best night. Such an amazing company and fantastic service 😁 we would Highly recommend!! 🎉
