Great space for lots of people. Enough space for 12 people. The upstairs bathroom did not have a curtain, it was also very hard to shower standing up. No mirror in the bathroom. No hangers in the closets apart from 2 downstairs. Very big detour to get to the castle from Bath. No dishwasher tablets and only 1 tea towel to use. Apart from this, great space, beds were comfy (but doubles were 2 singles pushed together), hot tub was great to use too.

Receptionist not helpful. I normally give positive reviews but calling in to inquiry about rooms for next year, the lady was a bit rude and put me off booking a room for our friends wedding... I was only asking if it is a dog friendly hotel and she just gave me a short 'no' when it is clear in the website they do have some....

Rooms were poor quality and dated (not in a good way), no breakfast option at all ! After a wedding that's what you want ! , poor makeshift bar ,food below expected wedding quality and poor portions. Felt like a wedding factory no personality and despite beautiful buildings and grounds a poor wedding venue.
All was clean and fine just below quality expectations.

It has the potential to be a wonderful wedding venue but sadly there are things that need to improve. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and so hard working but there are too few of them to cope at present. As a result of this rooms were not ready on arrival. I so want this place to succeed as its a lovely house with beautiful grounds and has the potential to be fantastic.

Beautiful house and surroundings. Stunning wedding venue which was why we were there. Excellent food and service. Evening reception in the walled garden orangery. Superb and away from the house so avoids disturbing people trying to sleep. Also there is a golf course there which we didn't have time to play but again the setting is wonderful. My advice is check it out.
