Pruden's was founded in the Hertfordshire village of Markyate in 1928 by Bill Pruden and is currently run by his two grandsons Andrew & Jonathan. The original Bakery shop still exists on the same site today although a brand new bakery production facility was constructed in 2000.

Pruden's have five retail bakery shops located in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and offer a wholesale catering service, delivering a wide variety of fresh baked goods to Catering Establishments throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire, 6 days per week.We specialise in party catering for all occasions.

Buffets Report

At Prudens we have been supplying buffets for parties, private functions, business or corporate lunches for many years. As part of our expansion in catering locally we can now offer delivery in one of our refrigerated vehicles throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We use only top quality ingredients sourced locally where possible and our aim is to provide our customers with exceptional food and service at realistic prices.

Wholesale Report

At Prudens we provide a first rate wholesale delivery service to many parts of Herts Beds and Bucks. Our diverse wholesale customers include, retail shops, restaurants, hotels, sports clubs, department store coffee shops, garden centre coffee shops and numerous other catering outlets. Our products are prepared by our own skilled bakers and confectioners and are delivered fresh to our customers six days a week.

The bacon and egg roll was nice but I think their oven may have been on the blink as they were frying bacon on the griddle plate and it seemed to be a bit in short supply. However, Their Christmas goods were amazing! Rich, full mince pies and beautifully moist Christmas cake.

My otherhalf bought me flour from this bakers and I was amazed at how good the strong flour was as the finished results of the loaves came out perfect unlike some store branded strong flours.
Would quite like to know what their opening times are, if anyone could help with that it would be gratefully appreciated. Thankyou

Absolutely revolting food and service. Avoid at all costs. Run down and unhygienic. Found hair in my food and seemed like it was kept from days ago and gone off. Won't be returning and is just one of the many run down business's in luton.

Great little bakery close to the airport and do hot and cold snacks on the morning plus everything you would expect from a bakers. Reasonably priced as well.

I love this place, they are so friendly and welcoming. They always have my breakfast roll ready for when i get there so im not waiting around. The girls are lovely and it is not overpriced like most places.
