Although we're essentially a family-owned business, it was a shared love of baking that brought Flourish to life, not just the brother/sister connection between Paul and Helen. With one client, no financial backing and a tiny premises inside an old brewery, Flourish has come a long way. Those humble, hard-working early days still colour the way things are done now.
We're still an artisan bakery, but we're lucky enough to count Michelin-starred restaurants, five-star hotels, authentic food markets, cafs and stores as customers of our breads and pastries.

We are however operating a limited menu but you have the choice of sitting in or out on the terrace. Please note that our Loading Bay Pizzeria is now closed for the summer & will be reopening in September. We wanted to share our passion for bread with the community where we're based, so decided to open a caf at the front of our bakery.

Didn't quite know what to expect from the location. There was nobody there to seat us but apart from that small hiccup the service was excellent. I had the Reuben. The pastrami was sliced quite thickly and the sauce was delicious, as was the bread. Best Reuben I've had anywhere. The sweets were equally good and made a nice gift too. Wish I loved closer but I would be another 6kg overweight.

Have been here few times and always really loved it. The Ruben sandwich is phenomenal and the cakes and slices are a real treat.
Good coffee as well.
Definitely would recommend as the staff are friendly and food is always excellent.
Yes, they do get busy (because they're super popular) and sometimes run out of items due to this, but they communicate reasonably well (socials and at the venue) and there are usually good alternatives - This never affects the quality of the products available, so there is usually always something tasty as an alternative.

Would you expect to find a cafe like this on an industrial estate? Of course not.
The views aren't great but the food was very good. We had the full English breakfast and it hit the mark. Small criticism was that they didn't put butter on the toast.
Great selection of bread and cakes, worth a visit
The outside sitting area could be made smarter and more comfortable.

Travelling from Milton Keynes to Watford (old stomping ground to meet my lovely friend), I was hopeful this place met expectation following 45 mins in the car. Well, it exceeded it. A gorgeous family run… restaurant (with take away service) offering delicious fresh food, excellent attentive service, superb breakfast options and a lovely vibrant atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure! 💜

Lovely food, cakes and drinks but always such slow service. Been over 10 times and each time i’ve had to wait longer than 20 minutes for take away food. I understand it’s busy but I’m currently sat outside, it’s been 30 minutes and all i ordered was 2 wraps. No one tells you of the wait when you order, happy to just take your money and let you wait. Would deffo recommend for food but DO NOT go if you’re in a rush or have other things to do. Needs improvement.
