On arriving into our room we had an ice bucket with bubbly & two glasses waiting for us. Jacuzzi was amazing aswel, didn't want to get out!

NOT a wedding venue. This is a party hotel and not somewhere to book for your special day! We got married there last year and here are a few of the issues we encountered: they double booked our date, 3 months before our wedding - they then tried to get us to change to a different date, when everything was already booked / invites sent, etc. We had 4 x different wedding co-ordinators and none of them were able to reply to emails or answer calls (we would get excuses such as: "my phone has been broke", "I thought I'd already replied", etc.). They double booked my in-laws hotel room for the full weekend

Nice hotel, staff ok on reception. Rooms nice but a little shabby/worn in some places. We had a room with 3 sets of beds, it had a bathroom and separate shower room. Plugs for phones behind the side tables but like most hotels no lights near mirror! Included iron, hairdryer and plenty of tea, coffee ect.
Had the breakfast in the morning, plenty to choose from they made me vegetarian sausage too.

Eric and Savannah were so lovely and welcoming. Savannah checked us in and made sure we had places to go out as it was my birthday and Eric was just hands down the nicest and most accommodating person we could have asked for. Although we had problems with our room and the food they were sorted quickly and overall loved our stay!

Staying at the Shankley hotel cost £1000 was by far the worst hotel stay i have ever experienced we booked for 2 nights for Christmas eve and Christmas day and Christmas dinner well... We were given a room which was cold and uncomfortable no tv in the bedroom and a dressing table that was wobbly and nearly fell over on
my 3 year old son 😮 i was left to push all our luggage on the trolley wish was very heavy and i suffer with my back i was on my own as my partner was on his way from work .. When my partner went down to reception and made a complaint when he got there he was so upset how i was

So disappointed, upon arrival in a themed room called the library we thought it was going to be a great stay.. how wrong
The heating wasnt working, or the Bluetooth sound device, so we were moved rooms no big deal it happens.. wrong.. the next room i had run a bath only to find the overflow outlet had dropped and was leaking, reported it to reception.
We had booked a christmas meal with our stay, on arrival we were told we could go down anytime between 6-8 as they wasnt busy... we went for our meal at 7.20pm only to be told we have 5 mins to order as they are short staffed. We also found out

Had a fantastic time at the Shankly Hotel. There were 7 of us staying in the Smirnoff suite, which was quite spacious and comfortable. There were balloons, banners, cakes and bottles of prosecco in the room when we arrived, which was lovely made it feel more special. The only downside was the booking system for the evening meal and the afternoon tea was not very efficient and there seemed to be a breakdown in communication. That aside I would definitely go again but not bother with booking anything in the hotel, everyone was so friendly and there's so much to see in Liverpool.

From start to finish the whole experience was 5*! From dropping our bags early, to check out everything was perfect. We enjoyed a two course meal and breakfast for 11 people. The food was delicious and service outstanding. Butlers in the buff we’re a great addition to our stay too.
Definitely a hen do to remember. Can’t wait to come and stay again. Thank you!!

Amazing! Super lux hotel with huge rooms. The amenities exceeded our expectations. We've got a kitchenette, jacuzzi tub, bar and couch. There's also free WiFi and a lovely restaurant. We would stay here again if we ever came back to Liverpool. The staff have been wonderful as well. Highly recommend!!!

There is no way I could ever give the Shankly Hotel any less than five stars. From the moment we walked in the door it just screamed luxury and I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The Shankly Hotel is named after Liverpool legend Bill Shankly. As I have absolutely no football knowledge whatsoever this part of the experience was a bit lost on me. However, for those in the know, from the first step into the foyer there are tributes to him and memorabilia of his life and career everywhere - even in the floor!
