We are open Thursday - Saturday, 11am - 3pm, for take-away cupcakes and hot drinks and we are making cakes to order for collection or local delivery!. We are also running online and in-store wedding cake consultations and we're sending postal boxes all across the country. The Cake Architect is a unique cake shop based in quaint Bradford-on-Avon. David Waldren opened the shop in 2017 after realising his degree in architecture was not his true calling. David uses his technical design expertise and combines it with fresh creativity to create unique cakes for every occasion, from the most elegant bespoke wedding cake to lifelike cake sculptures.

There was only one place that I wanted to go for our wedding cake and that was Cake Architect. David is a complete genius - I honestly don't know how he does it! I thoroughly enjoyed our consultation (not to mention the tasting) and the end result was an absolute showstopper. Our guests could not stop talking about the cake (five tiers with flowers and gold leaf) and no one could stop eating it either! It was a huge talking point / centrepiece on the day and, unsurprisingly, it was absolutely delicious too. I have already been back to Cake Architect since and will definitely go back to David for

Myself and my husband can't explain how good our wedding cake was that David made for us. We had a chocolate drip cake and cupcakes, and it was honestly better than we ever could have pictured and dreamt of tasting! Everyone said how amazing the cakes were and even a week later, what little cake we have left is still moist and tastes wonderful. We even had 2 GF cakes made, and they got a huge thumbs up too. David got everything done perfectly, his service is exceptional, I cannot recommend enough! Can't wait to eat more of his cakes soon!

From start to finish it was easy. We’d been let down by our wedding cake maker after having to change the date of our wedding for the third time! We were lucky enough that David was able to fit us in and guide us through the decision making for the perfect cake.

Wow… just wow! That was the words that i stuttered as i saw my cake for the first time on my wedding day. The team at “The Cake Architect” are just awesome. We threw a load of random stuff at them, and the design was drawn up almost instantly… I was gobsmacked. Then when the cake arrived on the day, it was literally as designed and the taste of the crazy flavours we asked for was Devine! Flawless presentation and perfect cake…. Not one inch of cake remained at the end of the night.
