Richard and Julie returned to the Colley family home in 2000 and set about transforming Sladen Lodge from a small cottage in the garden to a modern, spacious and luxury self-catering Lodge. We are delighted that Lynne is now managing the Lodge and looks forward to hearing from you. We live next door at Sladen which has been in the Colley family for 4 generations.
We absolutely love where we live and think you will too - it is a walkers paradise and you will find a warm welcome in the shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. You will be amazed at how many activities are available nearby set in the most spectacular surroundings.

Services
No need to fight over bedrooms - all are good sized and individually accessed on one floor. Each room has a warm en-suite with rainforest showers and 6ft heated rails filled with fluffy white bath sheets and hand towels. All rooms have Luxury Hypnos beds - choose between two 3ft single beds or one huge 6ft super-king bed - all adorned with crisp white linen and featherdown duvets.
Sladen Lodge offers clients an exclusive venue of their own. At the core of any off-site the objective is to really get to know and understand your colleagues. The Lodge offers a unique environment to do just that - its relaxed and informal atmosphere encourages openness and engagement with one another.
Sladen Lodge is well equipped with everything we think you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the Peak District. Non-slip bathmats and suction handles for shower aid (Shower seat also available on request). Our weekend at Sladen Lodge was superb in every way.
On arrival our expectations were exceeded - it would be difficult to find somewhere better equipped and the standard of the en-suite bedrooms was like staying in a hotel rather than a rented house. The whole house has been exceptionally well thought out and we loved the fact that we could all comfortably eat at the same table.

Hathersage is a traditional, pretty and unspoilt village with a range of small shops, pubs and restaurants. Food, dining out and a pint of beer are all close by! Time is precious and you may wish to spend it with your loved ones instead of in the kitchen every day. Small but mighty, Hathersage offers a wide range of dining options.
The location of Sladen Lodge leaves you spoilt for choice. Whether you want to take your friends and family on an adventure, or have a love of British history, the Peak District doesn't disappoint. Hathersage offers a wealth of activities to have a go at or places to visit nearby. For the adventurous there are many organisations offering climbing, caving, and swimming to name but a few.

I booked this property for a hen do with 16 hens - it was absolutely lovely. Property was bigger than photos show, very warm in November. Lynne was so helpful answering loads of my questions and offering up lots of local knowledge and recommendations. The property had everything we needed, and the booking website had lots of detailed info about the facilities to help us plan. The venue was so special for the hen do, everyone was really comfortable, hot showers always, fire pit, lunch on the terrace etc. Do note that the trains will sound their horns going over the road bridge. There was a mix up

Stayed at Sladen lodge this weekend with my husbands family. 14 adults and 2 small children and we had a fantastic time!!
The lodge itself is spacious with every room having its own modern en suit.
There are fire doors throughout which hugely helps with eliminating noise from room to room which is great.
The owners have really give this lodge some thought with equipment that is kept there and included which makes the stay that bit more enjoyable knowing you have everything you could need.
We cooked a full English each morning and a Christmas dinner for all 16 of us.

My husband and I stayed at Sladen House from 17 July to 20 July 2016. Our stay was everything we could wish for...and more! Host Julie was warm, friendly and went out of her way to make our stay fantastic. She ferried us to and from the train station and also drove us to Stanage Edge when she found out we were keen to visit but didn't want to walk all the way there. Julie also let us check-in early and check out late (very late!) The house was nothing short of awesome. Situated on elevated land, it is just a short walk from the the village centre. The views from our bedroom and the lounge were
