We're a family-run home that aims to change the way people see residential care through compassion and expertise. With wellness at the heart of everything we do, we aim to transform the lives of our residents through friendship, activity, expert care and tranquil surroundings. Moving into a residential care home is a major life change and can be a stressful time.
We understand the worries and stress that such a change can bring, which is why we're here to support you and your family during this time. The home stands in its own grounds with mature trees and shrubs and has an enclosed courtyard for the use of residents and their visitors. The home is conveniently situated within walking distance of all local amenities and on a main bus route.

EMI unit only has 2 sometimes 3 members of staff on. They are run off their feet. At meal times some residents stay in their rooms, some eat in the only day room and others the dining room. If one soils themselves they are taken to the bathroom 1/2 naked. No modesty blanket used. At a meating with a social worker, memory team, 2 staff and family, the manager didnt attend, she had a meeting with the cleaners, which in my opinion could have been postponed. Activities suggested at one meeting where she did attend wasn't arranged.

I went to look around before he went, and was impressed not only by the rooms, but by the friendliness of the staff, was told it was home from home, and it was. I phoned up to make sure that peter had settled, and was told he had fitted in well, and was more than settled, not agitated or asking to go home.
