Having been recently fully renovated our wonderful 18th century coaching inn, we are now enjoying sharing this wonderful hotel with you. In the rural countryside village of Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire, the Dukerie's Lodge dates back to the days of highwaymen, when it first provided a comfortable stop over.
The recently refurbished Bed & Breakfast is located just down the road from us on High Street, Edwinstowe and offers both double and single rooms. Each room has a wardrobe, TV, tea and coffee facilities and an en suite bathroom. Inside, the Black Swan is very traditional with many old prints of Edwinstowe village.
We'll be building up a list of places of interest local to The Dukeries Lodge that registered users can rate. This will help visitors to the area find the best places to go and might even provide some inspiration for us locals too. If you want more information on any of these, why not pop in and see us - we might have some further literature, advice or even discount tickets for some of them.
I've had 2 two night stays at the Dukeries Lodge. Each has been a wonderful experience, and, have been well looked after by Wendy. Being disabled, helped me with my case. Also, sorting another 2 pillows was done with a smile. An ideal location for when I'm visiting friends who live in the area. The rooms are relaxing.

Poor customer service, the bar staff were miserable, in fact even one member of the bar staff rolled her eyes at me. I appreciate we had a large order however it wasn’t complicated so i thought it was a bit rude, she obviously didn’t want to be there. Also, bar had NO vodka? I usually like to support local and help businesses in these trying times, however there were no positives at all. Do not recommend.

Attended a wedding reception here & the buffet was abysmal. Cannot even bare to think what the bride and groom paid for that buffet. The bride didn’t even get chance to eat, which she clearly needed to, and asked for bread and butter to be turned away. Just from our party we were 5 people down on the buffet and it was still an awful amount for the… everybody else with 5 people less than accounted for.
A member of our party was short changed by the bar staff twice, and one member of the bar staff obviously didn’t want to be there which put a dampener on the evening.

I am incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied. I ordered food for 6 of us, and once it had arrived they brought one wrong meal out. They then came back out to say that the meal we ordered was no longer available, however one of our meals could be shared between two if we were happy with that, to which we replied no. At the point of asking for a refund on one meal and receiving the other, we waited another 15 minutes at which the meal never arrived. Everybody else had finished so we asked to cancel the missing meal, at which they said it was on its way. Not at any point did we receive an apology

Just went for a breakfast with my mum. Had such a delicious breakfast I'll be going back and recommending to friends and family. Jane the breakfast chef has good food coming out the kitchen. Has a good food variety with refreshments for while you wait for your order. Was served much faster that other restaurants. Highly reccoment now that Jane the breakfast chef is there. And what a bargain was a reduction due to a loyalty card. Might go for breakfast tomorrow.

I had the fig and goats cheese for starter. It was nice but my main; salmon and pasta was dire and tasteless. My friend had the steak which was dry and tasteless as well. Dessert was hit and miss. My Brownie was frozen, rock solid.
The sorbet that came with it was refreshing. We ordered 3 cheesecakes in total but one tasted funny as if it had been exposed to heat which had caused the cream cheese to curdle. I will come back to the Dukeries for a drink if I'm in the area as the staff were pleasent but I will not eat here again.

Wouldn’t recommend for work business.
Burger over cooked.
Re used glasses for pints.
Bedroom smelt, only 1 plug socket worked
Uncomfortable bed, shower leaks out the door.
WiFi slow.
TV didn’t work.
Needs a massive uplift - some staff are friendly, some staff are rude.
Disturbed me whilst being asleep!! Whilst being on standby.
I wouldn’t recommend. I hope I won’t return.

Can’t usually fault it here but the service today was disgusting, booked a birthday meal days ago for 1pm was told 40 minute wait for food which we didn’t mind we ordered food at 1;15 and didn’t receive our food til 3:30 after constantly complaining of the wait time, to then get the food brought out that I wouldn’t feed to a dog onion rings that… was dripping in grease to the point the bowl they was in was half way full of oil chicken that looked like it had been festering in a bin for days and a burger that was pink and dripping With that much grease the bun was

Food is tasty and the cater for a range of people. Food is slow to arrive but this could be that we ate at busy times.
Rooms are spacious, and had minis, toilet roll, towels, a hairdryer and tea and coffee facilitates.
Bedding had been washed and smelt fresh but there were stains washed into the sheet and pillow cases. Rooms on the top floor had keys that struggled to open the door, we were told they were the only keys and rooms they had left. Both us and our neighbour struggled wiggling the key to get it unlocked. Not the lodges fault but the room next to ours had

Just got home from a two night stay at the Dukeries. We had a booking for 12 people staying in 6 rooms, all of lovely size, clean and comfy and very reasonable on price. Food was also great value and couldn’t… be faulted. Staff were all friendly especially the lovely breakfast lady and evening waitress who served us dinner. Thank you to John and all the staff for making our trip to celebrate our daughters wedding all the more enjoyable!
