Every day is fun at Barnowls! The staff plan activities for each individual child to encourage them to learn through play. At Barnowls Nursery we feel it is important for the children to have fun with their friends whilst being cared. Barnowls Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage which is divided into seven areas of learning.
The children at Barnowls Nursery love to be creative. Arts and crafts activities are available everyday for the children to express themselves using a variety of materials. Creative activities take place indoors and outdoors for children of all ages.

I would highly recommend Barnowls Nursery as a super, caring environment for children under 5. My youngest started in Snowies, my eldest in Tawnies, and they have graduated through all the rooms up to Eagles. In each room, the keyworkers have been fantastic, and they have helped us with any issues, being great with individual needs.
Colleen started Barnowls Nursery in 1991. Colleen's background was of a Managerial basis in high tech industry. Whilst looking for childcare for her own two children, she saw a need for quality care in a pleasant environment. Barnowls has grown in reputation over the years and still represents her own original beliefs.
The Grey Owls room cares for eight children with two members of staff. This room offers the children an opportunity to become more independent, the children will have their own peg to hang their coat and bag on and their own draw to store all important belongings and art work. The children love to cook in Grey Owls and enjoy lots of group activities with their friends.
This is our pre-school room, three members of staff care for up to 24 children. The Eagles room is made up of three areas which the children 'free flow' between making independent choices about the activities they would like to take part in. Main room - This room is divided up into several different areas which includes a writing area, quiet area, IT area with a computer and a maths area.
The information below tells you about some of the activities that take place at Barnowls; all of the children have equal access to all our resources. Toys and equipment are inspected and up-dated on a regular basis. Snowies: The children in this group love to play with the musical toys, shape sorters and rattles.
