Tiny Acorns Nursery
We are very proud of our enthusiastic and dedicated team of nursery nurses who work closely together across all aspects of the nursery, supporting and mentoring each other. They have been chosen for their ability to provide the highest standards of care to each baby/ child in their supervision, and their commitment to delivering an excellent service to the families who come to us.

All members of the team have been carefully screened and vetted and have a full DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) and we have multiple staff with a current Paediatric First Aid qualification in each of our rooms. Staff training is a high priority at Tiny Acorns.
Services
We are very lucky to be located in secure, spacious grounds of a school with our own large, private gardens for the children to play in, as well as the use of the school's grounds for walks. It is a green and open location surrounded by fields.

The nursery started with just one building on the site in 2009, and since this time we have steadily grown and expanded, and we can now offer separate rooms for all ages with a Baby room (0-18months), a Toddler room (18months-3years) and a dedicated Preschool room from 3 years to school age.You can read our Ofsted reports HERE.
Our vision for Tiny Acorns Nursery began when we submitted our tender for the lease back in 2008 and remains the same today. We want to provide a 'personal' nursery service that exceeds the expectations and needs of every family that comes to us: a welcoming and nurturing environment, where the children we look after grow and develop as individuals, spending many happy days in our care.
We focus on continuity of care - keeping staff turnover as low as possible is one of our top priorities. Staff are supported, trained and rewarded for their hard work and many have been with nursery for over five years. We aim to retain the staff we have so your child can benefit from a familiar and caring environment and staff have time to develop into outstanding practitioners.
We have a dedicated room for the younger age group of children at the nursery. The building is light, bright, colourful and spacious and is designed with non-walkers, crawlers and early walkers in mind. It has its own dedicated and enclosed outdoor space with a canopy and rubber surfacing, providing shade and shelter if it is raining, so that even the youngest of our children can always go outside for fresh air.
The care, teaching and learning we provide is based on effective practice in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The EYFS is the standard laid down by OFSTED for Learning, Development and Care of children from birth to five. A Unique Child - commitments focused on development, inclusion, safety, and health and well-being.

It is just a wonderful nursery. Our little one has been there since she was 8 months old and has simply thrived. The staff are wonderful. As soon I walked in there, I knew it was the place.

Such a fantastic nursery. My son absolutely loves it and the staff are all so helpful and friendly! All staff know every child, even if they are not in their class, which makes for a caring and safe atmosphere. They really push development of each child and keep you updated daily.
They are very supportive with the milk ladder, we are currently undertaking with my son, and the food seems well balanced.
It is in high demand, with an extensive waiting list, but we are glad we moved our son when a place became available!

Such a warm, friendly, fun and safe learning environment, with fantastic facilities. The transition of my daughter starting pre-school was made so smooth, with the staff always understanding her initial worries and gently, but surely, encouraging her growth. An extremely impressive nursery, which I could not recommend more highly.

My daughter has just had her last day at Tiny Acorns and it was very emotional for her to leave such a wonderful and caring place. I really don't think I could have asked for any more, they have played such an important part in shaping her early years and they have done a superb job.
