Gray Fabrication provides steel fabrication and plate rolling services to leading companies in the oil and gas, general engineering and renewable energy sectors. We have built up our reputation on our ability to respond promptly to production requirements as well as complying with the stringent quality standards demanded by our customers.
We specialise in rolling large and heavy section cones and tubulars. Our metal forming and fabrication workshops are equipped with a wide range of presses and rolls. Several machines are equipped with bespoke tooling designed, developed and manufactured in-house. These are used in the forming of complex elliptical cones and other difficult to achieve shapes.
The fabrication and welding workshops cover an area of 4100 sq m, which enables the company to assemble structure up to 80 tonnes. Tubulars, comprising multiple cans, welded using submerged arc, can be produced up to a max diameter of 5 metres with a total length of 26 metres. An extensive library of weld procedures, which covers most of our customers welding criteria, is complemented by our quality management system ISO9001:2015.
Unlike many other fabricators, we have an extensive in-house CNC plate and pipe profiling facility backed up by our considerable stock of certified steel. This facility complements our fabrication and welding departments to offer a "one stop shop" and faster lead times. Our significant investment in 5 axis pipe profiling is further enhanced by state of the art nesting and stock control software, essential in providing full traceability.
