Pound Park Nursery School
The Nursery school is a lively and happy place. They play and learn with exuberance in the highly stimulating environment, both inside and outdoors. Pound Park Nursery School is a Maintained Nursery School in the heart of Charlton, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Opened in 1944, we are an established Outstanding Nursery School delivering high quality early education to children aged 2-4 years.

Our Nursery School really is an adventurous woodland oasis for young children to explore. Our highly qualified teachers and practitioners support, encourage and facilitate learning opportunities enabling our children to be confident and independent life long learners.
Services
Pound Park Nursery School welcomes all children and families by offering support and care in order for our children to have the best start in life. As a fully inclusive setting we embrace the diverse community which we serve and celebrate the uniqueness of each child. Through exciting, positive and stimulating activities the passionate and qualified staff team provide a safe and nurturing environment.
We have a trained Interactive Music teacher who runs sessions on a weekly basis to engage children and extend their learning through music. The sessions support children's understanding with particular focus on listening and attention. Children develop their music skills and abilities to play instruments all through having lots of fun.
Our Parent and Staff Governors are elected. The Headteacher has a standing post, co-opted governors are nominated and approved by the Governing Body for a term which lasts 4 years at a time. All Governors have signed a Register of Interests to indicate whether they have a potential conflict of interest and there are none other than as recorded.
STEEP is a partnership of six like-minded London Nursery Schools and Children's Centre's, across two London Boroughs, Greenwich and Lewisham, who have a long history of high quality Early Years provision. We are all committed members of Early Education; The British Association for Early Childhood Education (BAECE), and believe every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfill their potential.
Pound Park works collaboratively with several other schools within Greenwich across the education sector which include Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools. The aim and shared values of our schools is to support all of our families and children to enable youngsters to thrive and be successful learners.

My daughter has attended pound park for a year and I could not be happier. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and my daughter loves coming to nursery every day. They have been so supportive of my daughters needs and have given her so much help as well as supporting us as a family. They are brilliant at keeping us informed with whats happening in and around nursery and have gone above and beyond to support us with our transition to reception after the summer. We could not have asked for a better nursery. The dedication, enthusiasm and care from the staff has been beyond amazing and the

My daughter likes this nursery but me as a parent with childcare background don't think that the staff in her room are welcoming to parents,if her keyworker is not there no one gives feedback, she was left with wet paint on her trousers and jumper and was not changed.
In my child's reading journal, her observation are not met, due to me helping her at home.so the next steps that they put in place does not make sense because she has already met them,so obviously the keyworker is not getting to know the children.
My child is now fully potty trained and the teachers have been advised to help clean

This nursery is by far the best nursery any of my children have attended. My youngest child absolutely loves it here. They are exceptional with their care. Every member of staff that have worked with my son and myself have been nothing less than outstanding. When he first attended the nursery there were some concerns about him having special needs, his progress since then has been incredible and now he isn't a concern. The nursery is amazing and they have a wide range of activities and outside agencies coming in working with the kids on different days, football, music, drama. I only wish I could
