Cycle repairs and bike builds on the Isle of Wight by expert racing cyclist and mechanic Sean Williams. I have an expert knowledge from nearly 30 years of racing and riding on and off the Isle of Wight. Since 1992, including a decade working within the trade as a bike mechanic in the 90's, I have not stopped playing with bikes.

I ride and train just as much as I did all those years ago. As the basic service but includes a clean of bike and degrease of transmission parts. Does not include. Stripping parts, fitting parts, cleaning of transmisison degreasing. This is an 'M' check to get your bike as road worthy as possible in its current state.
Services
All prices below do not include cost of parts. Please text message or call if you do not see a price for what you require or need a quote. For services, I'll need to keep your bike for up to 5 days (weekdays) but will endeavour to finish the work asap.

This isn't essentially a service package but I will make small adjusts if that's all the bike needs (this would be small tasks like tightening essential bolts, pumping tyres up, lubing transmission) and give it a through look over to determine an estimate on further work.If you leave the bike with me for further work (service levels listed below) I'll not charge this 15.
A full transmission service on your gears can make all the difference. A lot of the time things just need a good clean but often the gearing can only be improved with new parts. My basic Transmission service involves a deep clean on your transmission parts. Chain, cassette, derailleurs and chainrings (where possible) will be removed and cleaned using my Ultrasonic Cleaner.
The prices below cover the minimum cost of stripping old and fitting new parts. All prices below are plus parts cost. There are many different ways parts are fitted to bicycles, some very straightforward and some quite complex. These basic prices mainly cover traditional ways of fitting parts and accessories.
There are many bikes available ready built, off the shelf and ready to ride. Buying a bike this way will often save you a lot of money and get you on the road or out on the trails quicker. One of the biggest problems in buying a bike ready specced is that manufacturers will often fit cheaper, heavier parts to keep the overall cost down.
Either way, for services, I'll need to keep your bike for up to 5 days (weekdays) but will endeavour to finish the work asap. Please call to arrange a collection. Please note collection won't necessarily be on the day you call but I will endeavour to organise a collection within two days. I will only be collecting and delivering bicycles that require a mimimum of 50 (labour + parts cost).

Transformed a bike that seems ready for retirement, to one that’s once again ready to eat up the miles. A great service from Sean - many thanks.
