This is why we focus largely on custom build projects as well as bespoke wheel building. We host 2 weekly shop rides every Tuesday night and Sunday morning. These are very social and include a pub/cafe stop with an average pace of around 15mph. We also put on a number of one off rides including your winter solstice night ride to Stonehenge!

Since first opening our doors to the cyclists of Southsea back in late 2012 we have developed a strong reputation for custom build bike projects, wheel building, servicing and fixing the unfixable. By the end of 2014 we had outgrown our original premises and took the opportunity to expand.
This has allowed us to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for our customers where we can talk through your latest project over a coffee or hang out after a ride.Despite having a love of steel and vintage frames we wanted our shop to welcome all types of riders from seafront cruisers to club racers, trail rippers to world tourers.

Experienced mechanic and wheel builder with a background in mechanical and electrical engineering. Loves to get creative and fix the unfixable. Has a passion for the off road and can be found riding and exploring the beaches and trails along the south coast when not in the workshop. Completed the 2nd Torino-Nice Rally as part of team bikeUlike and is already planning his next adventure.
A mini service where we check the road worthy condition of your bike for rider/parent piece of mind. Wheels checked for wear and damage, bearings checked for play and free movement, spokes tensioned and wheels trued. Here at Bike U Like we specialize in hand built wheels for any type of bike. We can build a modern hub dynamo into a 1950's rim or build that classic 1970's hub you found at the back of the shed into a modern rim. We build super tough touring and audax wheels, wide fat bike and the latest plus sized mountain bike wheels and of course super lightweight summer road race wheels.

Really happy with the attention given to my 70’s British folding bike. The brakes work properly for the first time in my ownership. The chain guard was re-soldered on and a matching paint applied so it looks presentable again. All for a very fair price! This shop is recommended for your bicycle needs.

My experience here was practically no experience.
Have a new bike so wanted a quick check on the fit (minor adjustments) and maybe a service after I knew the fit was right.
After reading rave reviews here on Google, as advised on the website I called to enquire about a fit and FIT ONLY.
I explained the above clearly. and was told I would need to make an appointment for assembly???? at £25. I clarified that I did not need an assembly I wanted to check the bike FIT ONLY. The response I received was quite rude "I know what you're talking about!!!". It was insisted that I needed an appointment

Took my yt in after having issues with crank becoming loose after rides. Had been to the manufacturer but they didn’t pick up on the fault. Thankfully these guys did. Simple fix which has been working fine ever since. Won’t go anywhere else now. Turn around time brilliant. Nice to have a quality bike shop in my hometown.

The guys promptly gave a quote and fixed my run around bike after getting knocked off by a car .
They provided a quote for the insurance company and offered advice on the situation.
Bike rides like great and will be looking to hopefully get my next custom sorted will be built up by the guys at bike you like .

This bike shop is a little gem!
The couple in this shop are very nice, and know their cycling inside out. Any questions I have ever asked they have always been able to answer immediately.
I have found them to be extremely well priced, super efficient, and the cycle technicians wheel building skills are very good.
I also have some friends that are very serious about their cycling (club level) and highly recommend this shop too.
