Services
Loveders nursery is owned by husband and wife team Dr Mark Paterson and Kirsty Guthrie. The nursery is run by a highly qualified and experienced team of staff and we are proud to say that a third of the team have been with us for over 10 years. Katrina has worked at Loveders since 1990 and has worked her way up from Nursery Practitioner to Manager, gaining a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in the process.
At Loveders, we are totally committed to providing your children with a healthy and nutritionally balanced diet. All of our meals are prepared from scratch, on site by our qualified chef, Ashley. The menus are designed to expose your children to a wide range of flavours, ingredients, tastes and textures whilst at the same time making mealtimes fun and a social part of the day.
We are extremely lucky to have such wonderful outdoor facilities and the children are encouraged to move freely between the inside and outside environments. Waterproof clothing is provided which means that whatever the weather, the children can get plenty of fresh air and exercise.
The younger children are also free to mix with the older children in our outside space which is important for their social and emotional development and aids the transition to the next stage of the nursery.Playground: There is lots of space in the large playground for burning off energy on the scooters, trikes and bikes and the soft rubber surface gives the children confidence when trying something new.

Please take a look at some of our frequently asked questions. We offer visiting periods (parts of a session) without charge during which your child may attend with or without you. In most cases this is enough for your child to feel at home here when it comes to their full starting date. During the visit periods, a 'Welcomer' will begin to build a relationship with your child.
Little Loveders is located in a converted cottage, specifically allocated for the care of the under twos. The cosy play rooms are full of resources tailored for babies and toddlers to learn through play and exploration. The rooms are well designed with areas dedicated to sensory play, soft play, movement, creative play, role play, music, books, water and sand.

My son was eating dinner and behind hm and his friend, there was a baby being changed. he described it as the worst experience and smell of his life. very appauled. also, very unsanitary, i went in to collect my son, it stank and there were lots of flies. i also saw a rat run into the wall. if you want a healthy child, DO NOT take your child here.

Loveders is a fantastic nursery setting and would thoroughly recommend it to prospective parents. Both my children are very happy here. The staff go above and beyond to ensure all the children’s needs are met. My experience is they are flexible, genuinely caring, understanding and willing to go the extra mile for both the children and us as parents, appreciating the demands of working parents. The happy nurtured children, long standing members of staff and another recent outstanding Ofsted speaks for itself.
