The company was originally formed in 1976 as 'The Belbroughton Packaging Co Ltd supplying a contract packing service, mainly to the Midlands hardware industry from its factory in Belbroughton near Stourbridge. An immediate investment was made into the expansion of premises, recruitment of people and the installation of Illig in line vacforming and cutting machinery.

The Company has established a Hygiene and Quality system accredited with BRC Global Standard (issue 6), along with a Quality Management System, which ensures that both manufactured and processed products conform to customers specified requirements.
The role of packaging and the environment has been a hot topic for a number of years and over that time the emphasis has moved from the initial concerns regarding landfill to todays emphasis on reducing CO2 emissions. Belpac takes this issue very seriously and understands the need to preserve our precious resources in order for them to be enjoyed by future generations.
Thermoforming is the preferred process for packaging products and consists of a plastic sheet being heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product. The film is heated to a sufficient temperature so that it can be stretched into or onto a mold and cooled to a finished shape.
