South Hill Park Pre School
South Hill Park Pre-School is a registered charity providing early years education and care to the local community. The high ratio of staff to children and our purpose built facility enables us to provide our children with the highest quality education through play. South Hill Park Pre-school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects its entire staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Services
To be committed to helping all children achieve the five key outcomes of 'Every Child Matters' (DfES, 2003). To acknowledge children's rights to experience and enjoy the essential and special nature of being outdoors and to learn through play and real experiences. To stretch and challenge the children so they achieve the maximum they are able to and develop positive learning dispositions.
These are just a few snap shots of our Pre-school. We recommend that you come and visit us to see it all for yourself and bring your child so they can have a play. The past few years have been very exciting for the Pre-school. We achieved a major refurbishment through our own fundraising and we have replaced flooring and lighting indoors.
I just wanted to send you a message of 'thanks' for your attention and support with my daughter having fallen from the swing today at Hedgehog Park. I really appreciate you going above and beyond. Know that your skills, kindness and professionalism supported us when needed and we are truly grateful.
We take children from the age of two. There is no 'catchment area' and we welcome all children, wherever you live. We usually only have one intake per year which is in September. This is because the primary schools all prefer to have just one intake and we usually only have children leaving when they go to primary school.
If parents access hours above the free entitlement they will be charged per hour at a rate set by the committee. Parents will be notified of the charge when the child's hours are confirmed. The local authority provides funding so that a child can access 15 hours free entitlement for 38 weeks a year from the term after their third birthday.

Report
This has to easily be the best preschool around. The staff are not only extremely caring and loving towards the children, but they are all knowledgeable about child development and taking courses.

They have a small outdoor area with a slide and lots of ride on toys for the children, as well as areas for doing gardening and teaching the children. The inside has a quiet room, a messy area for cooking or doing arts and crafts and another area for general play and learning and roleplay is encouraged.

I can't praise this preschool highly enough.
