Services
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and firmly believe that children are competent learners from birth. All nurseries, pre-schools, reception classes and childminders registered to deliver EYFS must follow a legal document called the Early Years Foundation Stage. At West Street Pre-school, children learn through play and first hand experiences, supported by enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff.
At West Street Pre-school our children eat a varied, wholesome and balanced snack on a daily basis. We are happy to discuss your child's individual dietary needs. Each session staff record what has been available for the children to eat for their snack onto the weekly record sheet in the kitchen checking carefully re any allergens not being used if harmful to any child.
You can attend a morning or afternoon session or stay all day from 8.45 am - 3.15 pm. You can claim your free 15 hours government funded places and pay the additional costs if you wish to stay longer. You can also claim your 30 hours free funded places during the morning and afternoon sessions and pay for the lunch times Monday - Friday @ 3.00 per session.
The pre-school has always provided a standard of care for my daughter which has been excellent. She has thrived in her time at West Street Pre-school, mainly as a result of the staff, whose commitment is second to none. It is impressive that a parent is reassured their child is being well educated, fed, loved and most of all safe.
