I first became interested in photography from seeing my Dad's summer holiday photos of the family, when I was young. He did a great job capturing the holidays on his manual camera and a couple of weeks after returning from holiday, the slides would be back from processing and we'd sit down for the slideshow.
I guess seeing those lovely holiday moments, projected onto a large screen in glorious colour, really was my first inspiration to pick up a camera and take my own photos. My passion for photography really developed when I spent a couple of years travelling round the world. So on my return, I took a City & Guilds course in photography, left my office job and got work as a cruise ship photographer.
