Services
All settings and schools offering early education and care from birth to the end of the reception year operate under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These characteristics are fostered throughout pre school and ensure that children develop holistically. Every childs learning, development and experience of pre school will be unique, just as they are.
The cost is 2.50 per family which includes a drink for the parent/carer and a healthy snack and a drink for your child. We have a lots of activities for the children to do which reflet the preschool session. These include our lovely 'home corner', small world areas in and out, cars, train set, animals, music area, story corner and jigaws.
I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years Childhood Policy and Practice and I have completed my BA (hons) degree in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2011. I have also gained EYPS (Early Years Professional Status). I have 24 years experience of working with children and spent 8 years as manager of a day nursery.
If you are looking for something thats not on here please let Mrs Campbell or any of the committee members know. All hard copies of the newsletter are emailed, a copy is displayed and they can also be found in the 'Newsletters' folder in preschool. Children are also eligible if they've been adopted from local authority care or if they have left care under a Special Guardianship Order, Child Arrangements Order or Residence Order.
Strong, flexible settling-in procedures are tailored to meet the needs of individual children and their families. These support children to develop secure relationships with their key-person and become very settled in the playgroup. Staff provide a warm, welcoming environment, so that all children are happy and respected, and parents feel genuinely welcomed into the playgroup community.
