Asics is an acronym derived from the Latin phrase, Anima Sana In Corpore Sano - a sound mind in a sound body. Founded in Japan in 1949 (alongside sister brand Onitsuka Tiger), the company changed its name to Asics in 1977 to fully concentrate on providing athletes with running shoes that exceeded technical and performance levels at the time.
Founded in 1989 by Mark Paigen - a keen fly fisherman and white-water rafting guide from Colorado - Chaco is an authentic outdoor brand that started out organically and pretty much by accident. Paigen simply wanted some durable work sandals that would dry quickly in the sun while he did his thing. So he designed and made his own pair.
Clarks Originals have consistently captured the imagination of youth and counterculture for more than half a century now, and that's why we've stocked them here at Urban Industry from the very start. From the Mods in the early sixties, to Wu-Tang Clan and Oasis in the early nineties, to Walter White in the late noughties, Clarks' iconic silhouettes have always remained relevant among those in the know.
The Converse All Star 'Chuck Taylor' sneaker is not just a classic but an icon - an enduring piece of Americana. First released in 1917 as a basketball shoe, the design is now well over a century old, yet it has remained popular throughout each and every decade and into a new millennium. Not many people wear Chucks for basketball these days, but that just shows what an unbeatable shape they are: the ultimate casual shoe.
Like many all-American classics, Danner boots have become renowned and sought-after the world over. Their rugged aesthetic and exceptional build-quality. That's what made them popular back at the very beginning - in Depression-era USA, when there was huge demand for sturdy yet affordable work boots - and it's what makes their products popular now, almost 90 years later.

One of the best online shops out there, with a huge range of products at very affordable prices. Customer service is also exceptional. I had issues with my Danner shoes and Amy from Urban Industry went above and beyond to help me. It was nice speaking to a real person, and that she understood the problem and was able to resolve it.

Really good overall service, I experienced the lot with these guys. I made an initial purchase for a pair of shoes I have had my eyes on for a while. Silly me ordered a size too big.
Not to worry, contacted their returns team and got a free return even though I would of been happy to pay for delivery as it was my error. Once the goods had arrived I was notified and credited in store (this was my request, I did not opt for a refund, but it was available) for £59.95. I spent £56.65 on another pair and they upgraded me to next day delivery with the remainder of the funds even though I was .95p

Incredibly good service... Ordered at 13:45 on Friday, item had arrived to my NI address first thing Monday morning. Communication was excellent and combined with tracking provided peace of mind! Even more impressive was that this was all during the busy Christmas period. Wouldn't hesitate to use again!
