My sister and I would like to say how much we enjoyed our 'tea' experience at Wards today. We were 'overwhelmed ' by the amount and quality of the sandwiches, scones and cakes we were presented with. We have both been to afternoon tea in many local tea shops, cafes, restaurants and hotels. However, today the Wards tea stood out head and shoulders above all the others, both for quality and quantity. And last but not least, for £10 a head, surely this price cannot be beaten. Rest assured, we shall be back again very, very soon. Two more than appreciative customers

Cannot even begin to describe the absolute rudeness of who im assuming the owner of this store is. I travel around a lot due to my job and whoever i spoke to a couple days ago in store has put me off Bexhill. Rude to other customers who gave me warnings (!!!) as i walked in, standing round not doing a lot and when i asked her a question she was so rude and dismissive i just walked out.
Maybe if you worked on your customer service you wouldn't be spoken about by locals. I will be taking this higher.

We came across Wards a month ago after not visiting Bexhill for almost 10years ! We have now been back 3 times in last month to fill our basket full of delicious homemade scones biscuits and cake . We have morning coffee and then race back for lunch before closing at 2.30 sampling the tasty lunch menu. The staff are absolutely lovely and you feel safe as all is spotlessly clean .
Well done Wards for offering REAL homemade traditional food so fresh and delicious.

An excellent and nicely quirky clothes and accessories shop with its own cafe serving fast home made fare upstairs! Really good fun to look around and the staff are very helpful too. Prices on the high side but good quality and you can find one or two bargains too! Well worth a look in. AB of Eastbourne.
