Village pets is a small independent pet shop established in the heart of stubbington village for over 20 years. We are able to cater for all your pet needs. The shops ethos is moving towards and offering a more natural and sustainable approach to feeding and caring for your animals. As a lot of our customers know we also have our resident feather friends Joe & Missy.
Joe is a 19-year-old yellow crested amazon parrot, and Missy is a 20year old cockatiel, they have become part of the furniture. We also are the home of All 4 Paws Grooming salon which caters for all your dog's & cat's grooming requirements whether it be a quick bath or a full groom and pamper. We offer competitive prices on most products, and if you can't see it in our shop just ask and where possible we will be able to order it in for you. Support your local pet shop!. We offer a wide variety of dry & wet dog food, and our staff are also trained and knowledgeable in the feeding of a raw meat diet for dogs.
We have 3 professional experienced groomers, who are able to offer advice and guidance when it comes to the upkeep of your pet's coat and grooming requirements. We have a small quiet set up to ensure the least amount of stress to your pet, as we know for some the groomers isn't their favourite place, not like us going to the hairdressers!

Took my dog in for a groom, cannot fault the groomer what so ever, absolutely amazing job!
The shop however is a totally different story. The lady behind the till was having a private conversation and I stood there waiting for 10 minutes before trying to get her to acknowledge my existence. When I went over I was told “hold on a minute”
This was the worst customer service ever.
I don’t think I’ll be heading back, which is a shame as the groomer is amazing! Just cant deal with that kind of attitude

Getting a bit fed up with the abrupt attitude of the lady with bobbed blonde hair in this shop. I like to support local shops, but am very tempted to buy elsewhere as I am getting a bit annoyed with her. Not sure whether staff or owner, but she is putting people off. Rudeness is not good for business.

I had my GSD and my daughter's Cavalier King Charles spaniel groomed by Nicky last week. We were both very pleased with the groom and the service. Nicky made a point of asking what we required prior to starting the groom and delivered exactly what we required. She was very good. I also had a long chat with the lady in the Pet Shop regarding my GSD dietary issues, She was most helpful and knowledgeable and I will definitely be visiting again.

The groomers here are brilliant, especially for nervous dogs. Yvonne does not use any harnesses to restrain the dogs while grooming them. They are groomed quickly and expertly, which reduces the time a nervous dog is away from its owner. I will be recommending them to all my owners at Doggie Holiday Homes.
