At Short Bark and Sides, your dog will be groomed with the greatest of care on a 1-2-1 basis. We treat every dog as if it's our own. We only use the best, high-quality pet safe products. We will happily use any shampoo prescribed by your vet. All sizes and breeds of dog can be catered for including puppies!
Flea baths, nail clipping and styling are also available and we are fully insured and CRB checked. We can arrange appointments around your busy schedule. From usual business hours, 9 am - 5 pm weekdays and even evening appointments for any extra busy owners!. Be confident with our experience and let us give your dog the Short Bark and Sides treatment.

Services
All prices are on a from basis, Additional charges may apply depending on your dogs behaviour, coat condition, coat type, fleas and weight. Although we do try and avoid these additional costs, we will always contact you first to let you know. Cancelation charges - If you fail to let us know 24 hours before your appointment or don't show up to your appointment, there will be a 10 charge added to your next booking.
No, I don't do anal glands, Some groomers do them but I see it as a job for the vet. Its not very nice for your dog and I don't want them to associate coming to be groomed as a bad thing. A healthy dog should empty its anal glands itself when it goes to toilet. Interfering with this process could weaken the muscle and cause problems in the future.

Took my nervous dog there yesterday for a quick nail trim. I was very nervous for him as I know what he's like new places and people, he becomes very barky and looks for the escape route.
As soon as I got there I knew they were nice people and the time they spent making my dog relaxed was so kind and exactly what he needed. I am so grateful they were able to relax my dog.
This was my first time there but with the little time I spent there I would definitely recommend them.

Took my nervous rescue to Short Bark and Sides for his first nail clipping and Sean was absolutely brilliant with him! Gave him plenty of time to adjust, read his body language and put him at ease. And even managed to trim all of his nails on the first visit which I was amazed by.
Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

Take my little dogs Reggie and Ronnie to Shaun about every 3months. He makes a superb job of their cut etc, what we like is you can see where everything is done. This is not always the case with some dog groomers which is reassuring. They always look splendid and smell wonderful. They even had little Bandanas on today. Very good place to take your dogs if you want the best.
