My aim is to offer friendly and welcoming classes open to both men and women of all abilities, ages, shapes & sizes. Never think you are not flexible enough to do yoga! The more inflexible you are, the more you need it. You will be encouraged to progress at your own pace, moving as gently as you like or going for the full challenge!
With regular attendance, you will soon start to feel the far-reaching effects on both your body and your mind. The style of yoga I teach is Flow Yoga (moving fluidly from one pose to another synchronising breath with movement) combined with some longer 'held' poses to target the connective tissues in our hips, pelvis and lower spine.

Yoga is non-competitive so there is no need to feel concerned about being new in class. You will be made to feel very welcome and there is always a wide range of abilities and ages in my classes. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own levels according to their own abilities. Nothing is compulsory so if it doesn't feel right for you then miss it out!
These weekend Yoga Retreats for up to 11 people run from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and are held in 2 large converted barns in a beautiful, peaceful location in North Devon, just over 2 hours drive from Gloucestershire. Space for outdoor yoga with beautiful views of the Devon countryside ( weather permitting!)
If you have the space in your home I am happy for you to share these sessions with a partner or friend, charges remain the same. Private yoga lessons offer students the ability to focus on personal interests, concerns or goals. Instead of following along with the yoga instructor in a class setting, a private lesson allows an individual to set specific goals and plans, such as personal goals for flexibility, strength or meditation.
A fun and uplifting way to keep fit and healthy by combining fluid movement with music into a yoga practice. We simply perform yoga poses, and the transitions between poses, in time with a short piece of music. Yoga Dance is a fun, non-intimidating way to experience the benefits of yoga while also allowing the performer to have creative expression through movement.
The Yoga Dance is very similar to the flowing sequences we do in our yoga classes but simply attempting to choreograph flowing yoga moves to a short piece of music, not to be taken too seriously and usually a good giggle! It needs a little stamina because of the repetitions when practicing but, as always, you can take it at your own pace.

I've been practising yoga since I was 17 (a very long time ago!). Having moved around the country, I've experienced many yoga teachers. I have been going to Carol's classes for several years now, and gained more core strength and stability in balance through Carole's classes than any other. I always feel better physically and more relaxed after her classes.

I have been practicing yoga for forty years and attended many classes with many teachers. Carol is one of the best I have come across because her style of teaching each posture always manages to include all levels and capabilities in a seamless and un-distracting way. This means her classes have a lovely balance of inner tranquility, outer activity and gentle humour.

Carol's teaching helps me to really focus on my practice and her style makes you feel like you are the only person in the room. She runs session on different days and times during the week so that you never need to miss your practice, and she also offers yoga days, which include yoga dance, and retreats. Highly recommended.

Having dabbled with yoga in my distant past, I finally started regular yoga classes with Carol four years ago. Practising yoga regularly has made such a difference to my flexibility and strength, and I now have a secret hope that one day I might actually be able to do a half lotus... just a half mind... little steps! Carol is an inspirational teacher. Her classes are challenging but achievable with lots of options for varying abilities and her frequent reassurance that we are all doing yoga no matter what level we are at is a huge help and encouragement to stay with the process. I don't know what

I enjoyed my first yoga classes - and am going back for more!
Well paced for beginners (like me) and the experienced - Carol guides and encourages us to stretch just a little bit extra - not too much - just enough to move our comfort zones towards the toned and healthy points on the scale.
