Welcome to Inchcoonans Equestrian, Perthshires Premier Competition Yard & Livery Facility. For further information please feel free to contact us. Inchcoonans competition and livery yard is situated between Perth and Dundee on the outskirts of the small village of Errol. The facility is easily reached being approximately 10 miles equidistant from both Perth and Dundee, a quarter of a mile from the main A90 road.
This area rarely exceeds the height of 15m (50 feet) above sea level, which enables Errol to enjoy a milder all year round climate hopefully allowing us to hold more outdoor activities. Inchcoonans House and Stables cottage, with woodland and pond, is set within approximately 30 acres of which 22 are of level grazing, sheltered by woodlands, split into well-proportioned paddocks.

Services
Competitions shortly followed in the late spring of 2009 and now have become a very important part of the yard. It adds the extra excitement to us all when it runs well and even better if the liveries have done well too.
I have competed up to 1m 30 BSJA and have done dressage up to Elementary and hopefully will be out and about on the circuit this year as we now have a great Team of staff working for us, knowing that I am able to leave it in their capable hands. We have 2 home bred youngsters who we look forward to bringing on and to also have out and about soon.

At Inchcoonans Equestrian we hold Unaffiliated Showjumping classes which suit horses and riders of all ages and abilities including Trailblazer Qualifiers. Trailblazer classes which are aimed at amateur riders are held at our monthly unaffiliated shows with the second round being held in the spring where you can qualify for the finals which are held at Stoneleigh!
At Inchcoonans Equestrian we run Affiliated and Unaffiliated Dressage competitions including a wide variety of qualifiers with classes from Intro up to Advanced Medium. Throughout the year we hold monthly Affiliated and Unaffiliated competitions with classes starting at Walk/Trot/Intro up to Advanced Medium.
PowerX and Extreme PowerX competitions and training are held throughout the year on our all-weather surface gallops. These events are designed to introduce young horses/riders to x-country, as the fences are all within a contained, surfaced area, and are of a knockdown nature with solid fillers. Extreme PowerX is slightly different because the rider is required to jump a round of show-jumps in the arena before heading out on to the PowerX course.
The competitor will be required to jump a round of rustic fences at a forward pace and will be judged on jumping style and faults. Regardless of jumping faults the rider will then be asked to do an individual show, which should include, walk, trot and canter on both reins and an extended canter on one rein.

My daughter recently competed at the Winter Woolies Working Hunter. It was exceptionally well organised and all anti Covid measures in place. The course itself was fantastic- really interesting fences and layout and testing in a good way of horse and rider. Thank you for a great day out despite the weather!
