Cilicia Cafe is a family owned Mediterranean Restaurant in Muswell Hill Broadway, London. By day, Cilicia is a smiley, come-in-as-you-are caf serving (all day) big breakfasts - the full English (veggie version) features grilled halloumi - and lunches. Then at 5pm sharp, it changes into a cosy restaurant serving unpretentious Mediterranean grills, seafood, mezes, casseroles and pide.
Traditional desserts include baklava and sutlach, a kind of creamy rice pudding. A warm, welcoming, cosy atmosphere for all-day dining! In Cilicia, where you can experience the most distinguished examples of rich Mediterranean Cuisine, meals are prepared with carefully selected ingredients and special recipes.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT
I asked for halal food.
Halal sausages
They gave us pork sausages
and my nephew had already started to eat them.
Lady later apologised that it is pork.
The waiter (lady) was under pressure as she was the only worker
Manager did not care, just apologised and kept moving. He noticed the whole situation as he was sitting across the restaurant with his daughter.
No reimbursement given
I had to ask for me not to pay for the meal.
I questioned them
If someone had a nut allergy and you gave them food with nuts what would you do ?
Or a vegan / vegetarian person

Really good food and great atmosphere in this little bistro on the main road through Muswell Hill. One of my favourite places to eat. Fabulous Mediterranean flavours, beautifully decorated with family atmosphere. Parking can be an issue in the area but side streets can be parked in if you’re lucky and find a space.

We stumbled across Cilicia during a recent trip to Ally Pally to watch the Aldo Kane show. Upon we were immediately greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The menu is vast, always a problem for me and my friend looking to try as much as we can. We eventually decided on the Cicilia breakfast and Turkish breakfast. These were both absolutely delicious and I wish we were closer so that we could try more of the menu, especially the evening choices.
I would highly recommend, the owners were lovely and the food amazing.

Came here with my boyfriend last week. We live quite locally so decided to try somewhere different for dinner. We were welcomed in and offered a seat by the open front as it was a beautiful day. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The only small suggestion I would make is that the restaurant ask customers dining on the pavement outside the front to refrain from smoking while the front is open. Other than that I would recommend and will be returning.

Oh my gosh, I love this place. So Muswell Hill can be pretty pricey mainly because of the area! However this place is money well spent, you definitely get what you pay for. I came here with my family, they were more than happy to seat 7 of us and provide to all our different needs, e.g. switching salad for fries, adding in a few pitta breads, changing sides etc. The restaurant has a cozy and warm atmosphere, I have no doubt I'll be going back yet again!

Review on behalf of my mother Olga (who doesn't use the web lol)
" i've been going there for years with friends and family and always found the food tasty and good value for money. The staff are always really friendly and happy to help. Would recommend this as a great lunch time option in Muswell Hill especially the chicken pesto."

Meat option of set menu for 2 - £29, starters very good, main course probably partly reheated - calamari and the rest kept in a heat too long, just because when you have starters they do you main and the waitresses try to push you to finish your starters till they are so desperate to tell you the truth that your main is ready and it can burn if you're not gonna have it as soon as possible. Anyway we had it 10 min later because quick meal wasn't our purpose. On walls lamps made of half vases with holes and all the others interior accessories makes a nice ambience though it isn't

After giving Cilicia a 4* review I'm disappointed to have to change my rating. I visited today with a friend and although I still appreciate the gorgeous decor and it was a cool respite from the hot day we had a few slip-ups that really did spoil our meal.
My friend asked the waitress if the tatziki came with bread to which she simply responded 'I don't know'. It turns out it did not and she was not offered any or told this at any point. Second, my boyfriend ordered the Noah's Ark breakfast and was hugely disappointed. The portion was tiny, ridiculously so, and the

I'm an east London girl, but yesterday I travelled back to North London to visit my mum who is newly situated in Crouch End. She suggested dinner, I said great, she suggested Cilicia, it was delicious.
The restaurant is a small, but very pretty and intimate little residence based in Muswell Hill Broadway. The owner is a warm Turkish man who cleared a space for us by the window so we could watch the passers by while we ate.
To start we shared a mezze of halloumi, falafel, kofte and some other bits and pieces I forget the name of. Every single item was delicious. Having spent 6 months living

We've been there without great expectations but it was indeed a nice surprise. The decoration of the place fit perfectly with the Mediterranean themed menu and even though the place is small, tables and gangways are the right size so that nobody step up on one's shoes or bump into one's chair.
Servicewise, waiters were nice and discreet, topping up the wine and delivering the food in no time.
The food was the good surprise. We took Calimari, Avocado Tricolor, Lycian Chicken and Lamb Gordion Knot and everything was at the right temperature, fresh and properly cooked, which sadly

Great Turkish (and general eastern medeterainian) food at very reasonable prices. This place is rammed on a Saturday lunchtime, and deservedly so.
You wont end up spending much more than a tenner on lunch and a drink.
Although service isn't incredible, i've never found the staff here rude.
In the universal triangle of - Good Food / Good Value / Good Service - you only get to pick two!

Whatever they're trying to achieve here, it's all Greek to me. I just don't get Cilicia. It wants to be a laid back informal Greek taverna on the Aegean Sea. It isn't.
For an informal mediterranean meal head just a few doors down to Pamphylia. A local Tapas bar, also offering full meals, breakfasts and lunchtime offers. For an evening on the Ionian head to The Bazouka on The Hill.
To be fair I have only sampled their breakfasts and lunches, not evening meal, but nothing they have offered me has made me want to go there in the evening. In the morning I was presented with
