Finsbury Park Cafe Within Finsbury Park
We are a lovely independent caf, (Square Meal says so!) perfectly located within Finsbury Park's 115 acres of bucolic green space, and - importantly we are a place for local parents at a loose end, sited next to a brilliant children's play area. In the morning, catch the early birds range from off-duty joggers to young families who come daily to visit the modern, concrete and pine interior, enjoying a Union coffee or one of the caf's legendary fry-ups, made with locally sourced ingredients.

Enjoy seeing a constant parade of customers getting stuck into the well-executed and wide-ranging selection of dishes on the blackboard menus, including gooey Welsh rarebit, homemade fish fingers, free-range omelettes, and gourmet lamb and mint burgers.Service is smiley and efficient, tables are generously spaced, and floor-to-ceiling windows make this an ideal spot for taking some time out and watching the park life.
Services
Aberdeen Angus 6oz Beef Burger, served on a Pain Bagnet with Salad & Finsbury's Special Sauce. British Lamb & Mint Burger, served on a Pain Bagnet with Salad & Finsbury's Special Sauce. Slow Roasted Pulled Pork in Barbeque Gravy, served in a Ciabattina Roll with a Coleslaw Side. A Cajun Spiced Filet on a bed of mayo & baby spinach leaves served in a Ciabatta Rustica Roll (Fairly Hot!).
Small Chorizo Chunks & Cherry Tomatoes Warmed & Tossed together, served on a Bed of Rocket Leaves. Grilled Aubergine and Halloumi a bed of couscous, Rocket leaves, Pistachio nuts with mint and lime zest. Fresh Tagliatelle served with our Homemade Creamy White Sauce, Smoked Back Bacon & Parmesan Cheese.
Delicate natural flavour of summer air, peaches and apricots, turning a pale green when infused. We cater for all the community offering a spacious light environment with a refreshing ambience within Finsbury park away from the hustle and bustle of the high street.

The cafe sits adjacent to the boating lake and children's play area, featuring a very popular kiddies splash fountain and sand pit as well as being central to the tennis courts, basketball courts and other amenities within the park.

With the pandemic, the menu is reduced and there is no table service. Still, nice café in a park and I enjoyed my meal. Staff were friendly and helpful - filled my water bottle.

Mediocre coffee. Food takes forever to come. Staff pretty ineffective and mostly focused on chatting to one another. But the location, next to the playground, is excellent.

Queues, any line that has more than 2 people in the queue for me 🤣, but seems to be for cold drinks and ice cream only, as per the moveable sign outside. Yes, the day is hot and I was expecting hot and cold food as per their website. I wanted to try their foot long hotdogs! I did not bother to queue up to go in to ask, maybe on my next visit to the park. I may be wrong about no hot and cold food available.
I have updated my review, rating was originally 1 star as I hit post without correcting it. Why 4 star, I didn't get my foot long hotdog. Will update once I get to taste the hotdog!!

Modern and spacious, located within arms reach of the playground, pond and toilet
Exactly what you’d expect from a Park Cafe with little in the way of surprises and this is no criticism. Friendly, efficient and obliging.

Probably the best cooked breakfast I've eaten in London - starting with good quality locally sourced ingredients then cooked to perfection (and served until 1:30pm). Lovely looking menu for the rest of the day too. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and obviously popular. Absolutely recommended.

Nice cafe and good food. But my criticism would be why do they serve cold drinks (such as iced coffee and smoothies) in single use plastic tumblers, with plastic lids and straws even for drink-in customers??
Please, serve them in reusable glasses!!

The woman Nicole who works there is extremely rude and needs to go on a customer service course to learn how to speak to people. When I told her I was giving a negative to Facebook because of her she laughed and told me to go ahead. She was even slagging off other members of staff saying they had poked their noses in when they came to serve me instead. If you get rid of her it will be a nice place. The manager Aneta was very nice.
