Queens Wood Cafe
We are a community cafe and permaculture garden dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the local environment. We aim to enrich the lives of our visitors by providing an enticing range of wholesome, homemade food, pastries baked fresh daily, as well as events, therapy sessions and a tranquil place to hang out.

Our wonderful, vibrant community garden, maintained by many dedicated volunteers, grows fruit and vegetables. The organic and seasonal produce from our garden is included in many of our dishes. We also sell our surplus edible and ornamental plants to support the project. We host and encourage a variety of cultural events, promoting visual arts, poetry, music and creative writing.
Services
Rosehip and Rye create natural and elegant food inspired by the traditions of Russia, Estonia, Ukraine and Georgia. From traditional pirozhki pies and honey cakes to canapes and laden buffet tables, the food is made from scratch, using ingredients with great provenance and story.

Normally catering for events (incl the likes of V&A and Royal Academy of Arts!), R+R was founded by Karina, a Muscovite and Katrina (Katya), who is from Estonia of Russian and Ukrainian parents, who met 2012 and united on a mission to introduce the food of their homelands to Londoners.
We are delighted to be able to welcome work from talented local artists to our woodland caf space. We are available to host opening nights and to exhibit attractive visual art in our busy caf. We have upwards of 15,000 visitors a year and have been told we are the best caf on the 78-mile Capital Ring Walk!
The Woodland Retreat London is a therapeutic group practice set in Queens Wood Cabin. We are a community of creative, wild-inspired, and healing-oriented professionals, including qualified (HCPC and UKCP registered) counsellors, psychotherapists, art therapists and drama therapists. We aim to provide affordable therapeutic experiences and services through a diverse range of workshops, as well as individual, couples and family therapy.
A beautifully unique location, five minutes from Highgate Station, available for private hire, meetings, conference, Yoga/Pilates/meditation classes and workshops. Our zero-waste wooden cabin is set in the organic community garden of Queen's Wood. The Cabin was hand-built over two years using sustainable materials and where possible sourced locally.
The intimate, enchanted woodland cafe setting makes an excellent setting for a birthday, anniversary or other celebration. We will work with you to create your ideal event for up to 60 people. On the day, the staff will serve and take care of your guests, allowing you to mingle and enjoy your party.

A lovely little place - great for a lunch after our hike through the Capitol Ring from Hendon. They're kid-friendly and dog-friendly, but sadly dogs must stay outside.
Unfortunately their credit card machine wouldn't connect, so I had to jog up the hill to a cash point at Highgate and they weren't very apologetic; my pals asked the to keep my food warm, which resulted in in arriving a bit burned. It's not exactly fine dining and customer service, but a nice (though expensive) alternative to a picnic lunch.
Good selection of cakes and gluten-free options, with mostly vegetarian

Tucked away in Queen's Wood, it doesn't get much crunchier than this secret sanctuary of vegetarian organic goodness. Think composing committees, weekend gardening volunteers, conservation talks, and as many solar panels as there are exposed wood panels.

The inside of this cabin-style café is straight out of an Abe Lincoln biography and there's a large patio outside that cries for a few rocking chairs, a porch swing and a Willie Nelson cameo.

The menu consisted of veggie favourites, mouth-watering cakes (although it would have been nice to have a gluten-free option or two,)

Looking to get away from the city smoke and city life? Happy hippy? or just running away from life itself (even if its just for a bit) this is a sanctuary enclosed by tress, green and Highgate woods. This cafe brings you back into the wild, back to nature and the tube stop is about 10 minutes away!
The cabin is a homely, welcoming place were you can enjoy true and only vegetarian food, organic and delicious. Their dishes include pasta bakes, curries and shepherd's pie, soups and pate and yummy desserts. Whenever possible some of the ingredients come from the garden just outside! it doesn
