The Old Rectory Nursery
The children will be having sessions each week involving gymnastics, football and drama tots. Parents evenings are taking place in March please keep an eye out for dates so you can book an appointment with your child's key person. Previous staff members are enrolling their children for childcare, pre-school education and work experience - we must be doing something right!

The Old Rectory Nursery is registered to care for up to 64 children per day Monday to Friday all year round, with an age range of 6 weeks to 8 years (primarily up to 5 years old) Our staff members have been specially selected for their skills, love and enjoyment in caring for and stimulating your children.

The Old Rectory Nursery is a validated setting, offering FEEE (Free Early Education Entitlement), alongside childcare, to all children the term after their third birthday. They are given the opportunity to work towards the all important standards of early learning goals required by Ofsted, before they enter compulsory education.
From the day they start at out nursery every child's achievement are recorded in their own online learning journey. This is called tapestry. By using an online learning journey it is easy for you to add achievements of your child on to their file. Our aim is for your child to develop his/her full potential whilst gaining confidence through positive experiences during their time at our nursery.
Children are generally very active and therefore need good, nourishing food to keep them going. We plan a varied menu to broaden their taste buds (this doesn't always work!) and to take into account any special dietary requirements where necessary.

Your children will have an early morning snack (the older children help themselves from their snack bar), have a balanced 2 course midday meal and a substantial tea, all prepared daily in our own kitchen. We also record how they have eaten during the day to keep you informed. To maintain the family atmosphere and environment staff members eat with the children, giving the opportunity for mealtime discussion and conversation.
Full time normal opening hours are: 8:00am - 5:30pm, an early drop off from 7.30am and a late pick up till 6.00pm are available by prior arrangement - special rates apply. We can offer FREE places under the Government FEEE schemes providing you meet the necessary criteria, just talk to us about your requirements.

My lad has been at this nursery from 6 months old to starting first school.
Its an absolute nightmare when first looking for a nursery as so many factors go round in your head. It's a big stepping stone for the parents and child.
The Old Rectory could not be more accommodating to your needs and requirements.
If you are looking for that 'home' feeling but still at a high standard then this is your nursery.
You have some very highly qualified staff here and it does show in the acceleration of your child's development (It did mine).
If you have any questions about this place don't hesitate to
