St. George's Nursery School, a family-owned business, started its journey in 1994. The founders wanted better quality childcare for their own children than was currently being provided in the Leicester area. They envisioned a nursery that went further than ordinary childcare; a nursery that would set children up for school; a nursery that would develop their educational, social, physical and emotional skills as well as their confidence.
Childcare is undoubtedly a great responsibility and you want only the best for your child. At St. George's Nursery we operate a healthy food policy and have achieved a healthy eating accreditation. At St. George's we understand that each child is unique and we identify each child's individual needs.

Services
Childcare is undoubtedly a great responsibility and you want only the best for your child. Your child's early years are the most important of their life. During these formative years, children can benefit emotionally, socially and intellectually from interacting with others, hence building a solid foundation for their future lives.
At St. George's we take pride in the fact that we have such dedicated long-serving staff. We couldn't deliver our excellent service without our fantastic team. They are truly passionate about both childcare as well as St. George's, and they continuously strive to build stronger, caring bonds with both your child and you.
Millie's Mark is an exceptional achievement for a childcare setting. It is awarded as a special endorsement to childcare providers that go above and beyond minimum requirements in keeping children safe, by having 100% of staff trained in paediatric first aid. All of our settings have achieved the Millie's Mark Award, which provides you reassurance that all our staff team know what to do in a Paediatric first aid situation.
With an increase in part-time and shift work as well as more working from home, there is no such thing as a 9-5 job these days. As your childcare provider, we can tailor and adapt our services to suit your demanding schedule, without having to compromise on the excellent care for your childcare needs.
Our baby units offer a safe, caring environment and are filled with bright, soft toys and sensory equipment to encourage development. Babies' senses are stimulated by our black, white and red areas and by participating in water play, music and singing and a variety of tactile/messy play. A large part of their day will be spent cuddling and interacting with our caring nursery staff to strengthen those all-important attachments.

Due to moving house we had to cancel our contract with the Nursery. On my sons final day at the nursery from the hours of 08:30 to 16:30 his nappy had been changed just the once as we could tell this by the number of nappies used in his rucksack. Also when questioned about what he had eaten that day I was met with the response “I don’t know”. Also information online as to what your child has been up to during their stay there is very limited and only been updated on his first day roughly 6 weeks ago! Not good enough on so many levels.
