Stanhope House Day Nursery Leicester has been creating a happy, caring and secure day nursery environment since 1975. Stanhope House Day Nursery is situated in Leicester city, close to Victoria Park. The nursery is conveniently located for Leicester University and De Montfort University, Leicester Royal Infirmary hospital, and Leicester city centre.
We're proud of our children and that their parents say such wonderful things about Stanhope House Day Nursery. Below are just a sample of what our parents have said about the nursery and its staff. I'm a very protective on edge mummy and I felt completely comfortable leaving Connie at the nursery, as did she.

Services
We are registered by the Early Years OFSTED to take children aged between six weeks and five years. There are thirty-seven children in all, who are looked after by a Manager, eleven qualified nursery practitioners which includes an Early Years Professional with auxiliary help from a cook and a cleaner.
Situated in a converted Victorian villa, Stanhope House Day Nursery has been operating as a nursery for over 45 years, so we've had plenty of opportunity to adapt the building to our needs. Our nursery rooms have been specially adapted to suit the needs and requirements for each age group. With our extensive, enclosed gardens, our children have plenty of opportunity to play outside.
Childcare is provided at our Leicester day nursery for part-time and full days sessions, from 1 day to 5 days per week; details of our nursery fees and terms and conditions of the nursery are available through this website. 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to a funded nursery education place from the term following their 3rd birthday.
Our nursery staff are trained and qualified to the highest standards. This high level of training reflects the commitment of Stanhope House Day Nursery to staff development. Our excellent record in retaining staff indicates that our staff consider Stanhope House Day Nursery to be a good place to work and to advance their careers.
Our children come from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, sometimes with English as a second language. When a new child starts, parents are welcome to stay with them as long as they feel necessary to help their child settle in. This usually provides the basis for effective communication between staff and parents and we welcome warmly any input they care to offer.

I've sent two small, unremarkable infants to Stanhope. So far, they sent back a fabulous person fully engaged in the world who is bursting with joy, resilience, kindness and questions. I'm waiting to see about the second, but its looking good so far...
The staff at Stanhope House are so wonderful its almost worth re-training as a nursery nurse. Almost. These are the people with power and influence over the future.
